Yes. But it is just thoughts. I have no any detailed plans and ideas on it.

Would be nice to see this idea actually carried out and really work. The PJ faction was not so playable. I was thinking Boss general with all the contra stuff too. Imba? sure, but 7v1 or something!

What about a "flex" faction that combines both styles from Remix's Tank and Laser Generals? You could build it dozens of ways... makes a good alternative to several generals... just have one general who can go any style.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

That would be fun. It would be kinda easy to make (easier than a full new gen with completely new stuff), and would be a good choice if you don't know who to be, but there are som gens you KNOW you DON'T want to be, so you dont want random

I meant it as a new faction, in the same style as Creator... but to make up for the loss of multiple generals giving that new faction the ability to adopt any playstyle.

This flexible faction will make other sides useless. Players will play it the most of times without paying attention to 12 generals.

I have this idea:

New side - Africa.
Air force - helicopters only, no planes.
Ground force - infantry and light vehicles, no tanks.
General's abilities - paradrops, ambushes, training, no air strikes.
Super weapon - Powerfull paradrop.
Super unit - Huge rotor walking excavator. Effective vs buildings.

Unit list:
- Rooivalk attack helicopter.
- Oryx transport helicopter.
- Rooikat selfpropelled gun.
- ZA-35 AA gun.
- Rhino artillery.
- Valkyrie MLRS.
- Ratel APC.
- Soldier with Vector machinegun.
- Soldier with anti tank missiles.
- Vodoo priest (hero).

General's abilities:
- Barracks deployment
- War factory deployment
- Command center deployment
- Supply center deployment
- Defenses paradrop (drops small bunkers with soldiers inside)
- Signal mines (similar to China cluster mines, but does not bring damage. Just reveals everything around when detonated)
- Kill Garrison.
- Anti tank trooper ambush.
- Helicopter drop (spawns a helicopter with some infantry inside).
- Training for somebody.

Unit abilities:
- Rotor walking excavator can gather resources.
- Vector trooper can capture buildings.
- Vodoo priest can cast spells.
- Oryx can make combat drop.
- Ratel can be upgraded with 4 different turrets (similar to tank general Modular Troop Crawler).
- Anti tank soldier can deploy anti tank mines.

WOW! Even without generals, It sounds like a Super-Faction :xd: :xd:
The RWE(Rotor Walking Excavator) pwns everything :good:

A small idea about the RWE :) ...
-EXTREMELY effective vs buildings :xd:
-weak vs fast unit :grin:
-helpless vs Air unit :) (or it will be unstoppable :mad2: )
-Immune to mines
-can clear mines
-MORE expansive that any other super unit

Question, are you going to make the RWE looks the exact same as the one in the photo :) ;) :blink:

or that 'Powerfull paradrop' is something like...........a Parabomb :blink:

Not exactly, but very similar.

Super weapons for destruction is usual thing. I want something unusual. Do you remember Iron Curtain and Chronosphere from Red Alert-1? Iron Curtain gave invulnerability. Chronosphere teleported units. I need something like this. A kind of non-destruction super weapon.

And what is the final version of Contra???

I don't know.

no, that was just my suggestion, Creator didn't say it would be like that.

1. will be it in 06?
2.will it have AI? (cos that i now that the Ai can be only for 12 generals)
3.heli should be stronger then others, or?
4.what is exactly the powerful para drop( maybe 100 inf + 50 tanks + 25 helis+25 para bombs)
5.vodo can cast spells (remembers me at warcraft 3)maybe a spell that make all units around it immune to damage however the vodo must not move and will have descrased armor?

2. Yes.
3. I don't know yet.
4. Small army. Some artillery pieces + vehicles + infantry + anti-air defense.
5. Maybe. I don't know what abilities to make yet.

I can Map and im starting to do cameos, ect in PhotoShop, so if you want i can give anything a try, get some work of your shoulders :p

Sounds kinda like a support super weapon
Maybe a super weapon that creates a purely visual army, no damage, but can confuse the enemy like the Nod Decoy Army ability In CNC3 :) (Just suggesting :xcahik_:)

What if the SW started with a large emp bomb before the full paradrop. It's kindof a precaution to guard the units as they're dropping.

1st:For the SW way not have a black market like thing that steels a decent amount of money from all players.

2nd:If you go with para drop shouldent it be more like an ambush.

3rd:If so can it be a ambush that spawn like: 5 Anti-Tank guys,2 Snipers,4 light Tanks, 2 medium artillery units, 1 A.A. truck, and a mine field around them.(not that i thought about anything like that or anything)

4th:I love Remix and Contra they are both on my top 5 favorite mod list.
