Put here the things that you would like to do in your life (sooner or later) :p For me sharing this with others is a way to vent some frustration :thumbsdownsmiley:
(this is not for trivial things like "fix this bug in my mod")

My list (will expand as I come up with stuff)
- go out more
- get a job
- get a career in making filmic games
- see the world beyond the tour bus
- live in the city (i'm living in a dull rural place)
-- step 2: live in London (though it's costly)
- get a (sailing) boat

Tip: a site to help you accomplish some of the things you list is http://www.wikihow.com

Sublist: holiday/travel destinations (in no particular order)
- india (e.g. goa)
- greece
- thailand or equivalent
- japan
- UK/Ireland
- USA (a tour)
- dubai
- new zealand
- africa
- south america
- portugal
- singapore
- (if i had time and money i'd go to every place there is)

Tip: a site to explore these places is Lonely Planet Guide

My list is rather short term.

I'd like to be as successful as can be in my studies so I can travel to China in my 4th year, then do an internship for an American company (2nd Semester of my 4th year) so as to work for an American company in China in my 5th and final year.

If I don't like what I see during my travel, I'll need a change of plans though

hm...

Get good-lookin', get a huge amount of money to donate to poor people in africa and all over the world (n00bs does need the help, but they don't deserve it :p) and keep a little part for myself... That selfish part of me still lives :thumbsdownsmiley: And I'd like to get a girlfriend, but hey, I can also party around with all the hoes over and over till my mouth washes away... although, I would prefer a GF...
And, well... that's it. I think... Becomming supernatural isn't really to possible I think so I didn't mention it to much

Own a big house (and stuff around it) that gives me the feeling of my own little kingdom

i want that too, but it also contrasts with living in the city (which is always alive and where everything is a few minutes away). when thinking about this, in the end i always realize i just want a life with much variation :thumbsdownsmiley:
luckily my future career is suited for that (since i could work from pretty much anywhere with my laptop and internet)

perhaps i'll just need to buy central park and put a house in it

apparently we all share the desire to leave our current dull places of residence and go live in a beautiful place...so, how are we going to do that?

I already live in a very beautiful place, I just want one that is even more beautiful ;)
I'd have a wonderful villa in the forest, with lots of small trails leading from the house. Then I could wander through the woods in the moonlight... that would be... spiritual.

Well France is a beautiful state, but I don't like the way we live here... My cousin lives in australia, so I have a 'easy going' and apparently make his life there is not hard at all...
Then Japan is interresting me a lot, but I don't know if I want to make my life there.
China is a great place for us European (buisiness, (girlfriend, yeah yeah for all who wants a girlfriend go there lol)) but, well, all this misery, all this political control, no I cannot.

when we norwegians are getting close to 30 and wants a girlfriend, we go to Thailand ;)
anyways, thats not for me.

my to do list? hmm, i never really gather any short points on that list, i'm more in the epic to-do-list.
  • get a 3d education(working on that, going to my country's "most prestigious" 3d school in a week, gonna cost me a shirt or fivehundred)
  • get a job within 3d/games development. more education within programming perhaps?
  • work for a while, train up my social skills a bit, try to do the basic things in life.
  • and if i'm really on a roll one day, start a proper game-studio somewhere.
that should be a rough list of more strategic points on my to do list. on my short to do-list we have topics as
  • get a haircut
  • do a pre-vote for the local elections
  • go to the dentist on friday
  • start packing shit up for the first trek of my school pilgrimage.
on the topic of moving to a more beautiful place. i think that my spot is too damn perfect to really move up from. naturally its bloody rural, but its in a country where rural only makes you more eccentric, money still is plentiful and technology overflows. naturally i will probably move out in search of work, but the day that i really don't need to be around work to be at work, it would be nice to create some tower on top of a mountain and work from that place :p

Oh yes I too want to move out before I start writing my to-be banned book... I want to live in Berlin, in a small appartment somewhere in the center of the city. I want to be completely anonymous.

Am I the only one around here who didn't really want (or care that much) to move out, but moved out either way? To a different country?
