To form an C&C3 Advanced AI team..

I had people back in March express interest in assisting me in quickly developing Advanced AI for C&C3 (current patch v1.08) but I lost names and those message. Ugh!

So now I am actively looking for XML scripters to go about the code I am exploring and designing specific tactics (ie. getting GDI rocket troops to garrison inside an APC OR NOD beam tanks reinforcing an Obelisk).

We need to stay focused and get the AI to become a more optimal player. I am now working with the XML scripts and its a labyrinth in there but making progress. I may ask the CNC3net people to put up a forum for us so we can discuss our triumphs and trials as we go through the code together.

If you know of someone around the C&C3 populas who might be of some help then the more people we have the faster this gets out to the public. Thanks everyone!

So, what should the name be? Any sub-subforums?
If you can get a decent team and put together some tutorials, we can place your subforum in the main CNC3.net category (otherwise it should go under hostees, I think) :p

On CNC3.net, a sub-forum under the HOSTED MODS.. Maybe called "Advanced C&C3 AI Project" -- nothing to fancy smacy. :p

Oh... there WILL be tutorials alright. :) Learning XML isn't like trying to learn a programming language like LUA. Still.. we have to find the limits of how much we can AI mod AND need some coders so we can distribute labours to get results faster.

I need 2-3 good XML AI scripters as well as who could be testers. I don't anticipate this will take long AND I want this project in the advanced state before Kane's Wrath arrives so we'll be able to easily incorporate the new amazing stuff it has immediately.

I think you may need to ride this one out for awhile on you're own. Like you, many of us are still "figuring stuff out"

We're all rather bright so the learning curve will be short. But for the next couple of weeks we'll see more question marks than periods, and I'm sure a few exclamation marks when unwrapping this "present" :grin:

We could figure this out "together" - I don't have to be a solo artist here. Just unarchive the scripts, edit em, then test it ingame for the result. I can provide what is needed to get you on your feet and running.

I need more than testers... Beta testers are easy to find for mods, its the hardcore modder that isn't. I need 1-2 XML scripters for the tactical work especially for coding things like GDI Rocket troops garrisoning into APCs.
