k i got version 1.04 from http://rjrotwk.the3rdage.net/ and i DONT have BFME 1 but i'd really like to try out the maps and campaign that they say you can only play if you have BFME 1 is that true?

To have the audio and video you need BFME1. You can play the campaign and the maps without.
