Then again, Ithilien, who are the two people helping work on trying to shove Narnia and Lord of the Rings in the first place? ;) Although it is a good mod...

I know the post is old, and the discussion is dead, and I'm not trying to revive it.

The sole reason I'm leaving the original factions in is simply because of the LOTR vs. Narnia coolness factor. :p Other than that, this mod is seriously becoming a Narnia TC. :p

300 sucks

People just like to see heads fly
No story
too gory
looks like they recorded it in some guy's backyard
and the sky is always pink


It's just an idea...
I still like LotR better than 300, it's just that even though the storyline kinda sucked,
it would still be cool to make a mod of it
300 might not be the best, but it definitely DID NOT suck
Besides....your the one who suggested "Boom Blox" :good:

Okay people, dont go mad on me, but what do you guys think of this idea.

A mod based on the Lord of the Rings:Conquest?

Like, every faction gains the classes as elite units.

Let's take Gondor/Men.

Barracks level 2, you can now build Gondorian Warriors
Barracks level 3, you can now build Warrior and Scout Captains(Scouts need a Watchtower level 2)

Gondorian Watchtower level 2, you can now build Scouts

Libary of Gondor level 3, you are now able to build Mages(allready a captain)

Archery practise range level 1, you are able to train Archers!
Archery practise range level 3, you are able to build Archer Captains.

And so on, and so on....
Forgive any grammar mistakes, I'm so tired now. It's a quarter past 9 in the evening here.

Please tell me what you think :p

@Floris: The idea is all right, but I suppose Conquest could be left to Conquest. :rolleyes:

Oh, so I guess we do need another mod which adds a few units to the existing factions. Hasn't been done before, has it? And certainly not in a more original manner then using the terrible classes from a terrible LOTR game? Right.

All you had to do was give your reasons why you didn't think it was a good idea, instead of bashing the poor fellow, Matias.

why does everyone do this? Bash the person instead of intelligently and kindly stating their reasons?

I wouldn't consider what Matias said to be bashing. He has a legitimate argument to make. :p Bashing would be something like "You (insert whatever derogatory statement you like). :rolleyes:

Look through this topic. People are really trying way too hard. You can't project every creative thought or ''cool idea'' you have on this outdated game and its engine. He think he tried too hard, so I told him. If an opinion is negative and not backed up by a page of reasoning, that doesn't make it ''bashing''. You can blame the world for my cynism in the second remark. Any further complaints about me can be forwarded to whoever runs this place, or something.

Whatever, hope I didn't ''bash'' you there, pal.

no, you didn't bash me. You told me your reasons, without being mean. that I appreciate and respect.

I'm not saying his point isn't okay; it's just the way he put it. It's okay to be honest, but let's be nice about it.
