Not sure about the STR, I don't have RotWK installed right now (been working with BFME and a bit of BFME II).

But in bfme 2 elvenstar mod II they made a lot of spells in each faction how ? Maybe someone know where is lotr.str in RotWK?
I edited a hex file, exchanging the campaign spell store menu with the skirmish spell store menu. That basically crippled the campaign's spellstore (that's the menu where you buy the spells), but hey. If you want, you can just use the modified file from em2. It's called 'spellstore.apt'.
I don't own RotWK, but the file should be located in one of the '.big' files in the RotWK subfolder. It's name (and location) should be either 'data\lotr.str' or 'data\lotr.csf'. In the last case you have to convert it first to lotr. Check the 3rdage main page for tips and tools on converting it.

But unless you already have a big bunch of working spells for the spellbooks (the campaing books encompass 16/20 spells instead of 12) there really is no point in plugging it in, not unless you have fun figuring out a lot of stuff on your own, you know, like me. Puzzles it is, hehe. P
