The China generals were modded after the USA generals and were as a result much better. The overall quality and balance is far more favorable for China in Remix, so I'll have fewer changes there...


Infantry General
I will be tweeking some costs, and rearanging certain upgrades. And I'll be adding a couple heavy base defenses to give more variety to the heavy foundation.

At tech2 I'll be adding RedGuard and TankHunters as Mobs.


Tank General
some bug fixing.
Tank-Sniper cannon added to defense foundation


Flame General
At Rank1 I'm adding a promotion point to unlock Thermite weapons.
I'm then expanding the list of Thermite units to include the HellChild Heli, the Thermite Tank, and the Thermite LRM. I'm considering a Thermite base defense as well.


Nuke General
Drones will be made available to all tanks, not just std tanks.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

that was an idea posted in the staff section months ago. the basic troops would remain uneffected, it would just be a bulk-build option. I also considered making a "hybrid" with both troop types in it. I am atleast going to play around with it.

no, not the better troops, because the better troops don't become useless....

rank1 :thermite enhancement - unlocks the base defense
rank 3 - advanced thermite technology- unlocks heavy thermite tank (and possibley thermite LRM)

Olli,

really, between the Thermite LRM and the HellChild I'm not sure a heavy thermite is needed anymore. The Thermite serriously rocks some standard tanks, and a few of them togeather can Rock overlords too...

lets wait on a heavy until after the other generals are all modded up and we'll see where Flame stands.

and it would be balanced, as you would need to have 2 points in the generals promotion window, and you would have to wait till rank 3, tech 3, and of course have the naplam missile battry built.

and it would be balanced, as you would need to have 2 points in the generals promotion window, and you would have to wait till rank 3, tech 3, and of course have the naplam missile battry built.


urk.. maybe with all that added it would be fair, but I wasn't looking at adding another super unit... I was just looking at something comperable one of Tank gen's specialty overlords.

nothing super. but a heavy thermite tank none the less would be cool.

armed with 2 thermite cannons, and then it has the option of upgrading with immolator upgrades.

also, along with its 2 cannons it could be armed with a very short ranged thermite flamethrower? or instead a small missile pack, and the missiles explode with a very small thermite effect... or just the standard missile defender type missiles.

just to give it some individuallity and uniqueness

actualy, I was thinking a thermite cannon only on one side, and the other give either an ECM weapon or a rocket pack.

you could have 1 fast reloading thermite cannon, and a small pack of thermite missiles.

I like the idea of a 1 barrel heavy tank with an ecm weapon that would be cool.

yeah but weill in the end I don't complain but I don't mind building some infernos either^^, but well early arty defence isn't bad either
