I don't really remember, if there were any of these type of topics on RJ mod, but if there is one, than this can be deleted. I hope that this topic doesn't mess up the forums, if it does than apologies to Rob.


So, now i'm describing my favourite strategy with Gondor. (this works best for normal maps, but it can be used on RJ maps too). AI: Hard(on Brutal i won only once with this strategy), Money:4000. I open with the construction of two farms, and meanwhile I purchase Aragorn. When the farms are ready, you should have enough money to build a Barracks. When the Barracks is complete(of course with the other builder you continue the construction of farms), and Aragorn is ready for battle, you purchase two battalions of Gondor Spearmen. With Aragorn you must start too eliminate as much creeps as you can, so he can level up to level 4, from which he is quite a powerful hero, if you know how to micromanage him. Meanwhile you have thos e pikemen, than build an Archery Range. With the forces you have, advance and take as many Inn's Outpost's you can. Repel the attacks of the enemy(this strategy works best against the forces of Mordor) with Aragorn(after creeping keep him close to your base and build a well) When the Archery Range is ready, level it up. The Barracks should be on lvl3 by now. Purchase many Fountain Guards, and Rnagers from the Range. When you have enough money purchase th fire arrows too. 5 batts of rangers and 5 batts of tower guards are enough for defense. Repel every attack, and at the inn it's more likely to purchase the Dwarven alliance.Build up youyr defenses as much as you can. Purcahse upgrades and heroes. Build a Workshop and with at leasty 5 treb's begin your attack on the enemy's base. If you had chosen the correct powers and followed the early steps of the stragtegy, you should have no problem with your enemy.

Powers: Heal==>Elven Woods==>Heroes of Gondor==>Dunedain Rangers==>Earthquake


As I mentioned before the most important steps are the first ones!!
These are: 2 farms, Aragorn, Pikemen,Archery range,creeping, leveling up Aragorn and building up a solid defense with elite units.

EDIT: looks good, but wouldnt work for tournament play, where settings are 1k.
