It's been awhile since the last news post but I've been busy working on some buildings! Making buildings is normally a right headache for me & I never seam to be happy with whatever I make. So this time I just said feck it & I basically drew the first things that came to mind, which seamed to work surprisingly. I'm still not happy with them but at least I got something to work from. This is just a few of them & there all still a WIP (might change the conyard into the aircraft hanger etc!)

Do you 3d model these or are you just as good at hand drawn .shps as you are hand drawn voxels? :)

With that amount of detail I'd say hand drawn. And beautifully I might add.

The level of detail on your voxels, terrain and buildings, when compared together, reminds me of the 2.5D strategy game Axis and Allies (or something) that came out 2-3 years ago and which ahd trucks deploying into buildings.

Will you use that method or the standart RA2 system?

Also, buildings look fantastic fo hand-drawn. But build-ups, snow, damage frames?

Great work once again. It must be hard living up to your own standards... And still not being satisfied! These look great, the amount of detail is just amazing. Even the hammer and sickle are present so no need for any flags imo. Can we have a building montage too, like with the units, just to know how far you are?

ROFL

I’m very happy with the graphically quality, I’m not 100% set on their shape & layout etc tho. I have no reference for this sort of stuff & so I have to come up with my own ideas. Which I have dozens of & trying to figure out which ones are best is a nightmare.

I think turning the con yard into the aircraft-hangar (with a bit of modification perhaps?) could be a good idea, as have a con yard that is a bit more bunker-ish (or is that too much like the german one? ).

I probably will do that, flip it, make it a bit smaller & add a tower. Them German buildings I made a while ago are long gone now BTW.

Oh, you got rid of the barracks also? They looked pretty good ;)
Hope you add a few flak towers for the germans...just for fun :p

Lol.

Maybe it should be open topped? With some sort of junkyard/building... yard inside and people working, moving bricks around and such? Err... a crane! All ConYards have cranes... or maybe some production line but that wouldn't really suit a place that constructs other buildings.

Not very good ideas but I just wanted to lol... though tbh I like it how it is.
