I know this is sad but I don't know what to do next. I tried everything to get it to run and I just don't know what to put in to get it to run the BuildMod.bat to make the SampleMOD.big file. I'm using vista so I have to run the cmd.exe in admin mode or I get errors.

Create a text file in youre SDK Map..

add the following lines :

BuildMod.Bat ModNameHere

and do save Save as : All files.. and goto name and enter this : BuildthisMod.bat << Or some other name.. but the .BAT extension should be there!
and run it. Then it should work!

Since you're already in the directory, just type buildmod samplemod and it will do the build. You've already got it running as administrator, so it should work fine from there. Then you need to create the skudef file, and you're set.

Well, when it comes to writing an expository essay about counter-insurgent tactics, I'm of the old school. First you tell them how you're going to kill them. Then you kill them. Then you tell them how you just killed them.

Strange, it looks like a file got created rather than running the batch file. I tested the SDK on Vista, and it worked fine. I don't have access to a PC running it anymore. Have you tried just typing in "buildmod Samplemod" (without the quotes of course)?

Oh wait, I fixed it. The buildmod.bat file was fucked up. Works after I reinstalled the SDK. It was 0kbs. LOL! I probably wrote over it or something when I was fucking with different commands trying to get it to work.

Thanks, you made me check the file which solved the prob.
