Hello, i have another update for you!

It is a Hovercraft wich has missles! This is my First UVW Unwrap and my first Texture!

[EDIT: Yes i know some lines are to thick. Ill fix it in the future once i feel like it.. now iam going to celebrate with a few games that i finaly made an UVW Unwrap and atached it to my mode ;)]


Some info about the hovercraft :


GDI Needed new hover technology because of the ion storms. But then one mad sciensist called John Real improved the old way of hovering and made it capitable of carying a max of 25 Ton! And still have some speed aprox 45 Kilometers per hour. The GDI was very intrested in this and they have made alot of Prototype units and came with this!

The GDI Hovercraft can fire 6 Missles it will be easy to take out by a few rocket soldiers and Rifle soldiers so you better keep it protected well! It will do alot of damage against buildings. It wont have a great range. It will be kinda slow because it has the abillity to go over the water and on some maps that might give an advantage to kill the enemy fro the water.

For a large aircraft, you need to add some details to give it the right sense of scale. For example model the cockpit windows very small and off center. Some hatches and other small greebs can provide scale. Look at large aircraft or vehicles for things to borrow, they don't tend to have such pure geometric shapes either.

Yes, it is still a WIP though :p But yes it is a simple model :D. I was kinda lazy at the time. But i might just dont include that vechicle. i just like to make lots of crap and later on see what to include but iam going to try to Re-Do the banshee :D...

and play some UAW beta :p :p


Greetibgs, and ill look for details with the next release! And yes the geometry needs work.!

Well, the fact is i don't 3D Modell alot. And iam only 15. And the fact that i only model once i actualy have time or feel like it. ( With time i mean when not Playing tabula rasa/World of Warcraft/ Hanging around outside with friends/school/ thinking on what todo/ bored/ dont feel like 3D Modeling and being bored/ getting inspiration :p!

And alot more of useless stuf i do :D! (well school is the only thing usefull i geus)

I know that.... but i just like to say how young iam ^^ (Unless some revorians ^^!:p... Anyways, i only have like 3 months of experience... (i 3D Model well since 2006 :p... but when iam modeling its a few weeks then a huge break then again a few weeks another huge break..(While those breaks once a while a model pops out...) and iam more of a gamer...... but as Masterwindu says... Practice makes perfect..... :thumbsupsmiley:

Well, can't really comment without seeing it textured/bump mapped/specular mapped.

I still maintain that a good skin can make average geometry look a million bucks. Likewise, a shithouse skin can make even the best model look crap.

Well, the problem is. I still didnt find a proper tutorial for UVW Un Wrapping. And UVW Mapping. Once i have mastered that i can finaly start texturing. I thought i should find a way by now but yet i didnt :(.

Texture isn't too bad for a first try and the UV map is pretty good apart from a little stretching.

Well, thank you! I geuss i could have spend a bit more time. But i already was busy withit for about an hour (Moving lines and try to get anything the same size so they fit on each other wich are identical.

Anyways, i geuss the Pattern Overlay sucks a bit, i used some concrete thing for it since i didnt had plain metal picture's(to lazy to google). Anyways, i hope someone has some tips or such :good:!

Ì know daz! But its my first UVW Map. And i need to learn from something! But iam sure lateron ill make a remake! Don't worry :)! My mod is far from finished far from 15% ;)!

He didn't mean the UVW Map, he meant the model. The improved SAGE engine can indeed handle quite an amount of polygons, so don't be afraid to make your model more detailed.

Yes, but making an UVW Unwrap is easier when you have a low poly model! But i will take that advice! And make something random :)!
