Well the title basicly explains it all but i was wondering with kane's wrath coming out with up too two sub factions for each side i was wondering if you planed on making them for any of the factions? I think it would be a neat idea maybe have some different units depending on what subfaction you picked.

According to my prediction the first release of the mod (With skirmish working and all the factions and units) should be released before Kane's Wrath.

I'm not sure, Total Conversion mods take a really really really really long time to finish. If we want to get balancing and polishing done, then it's really going to take a while.

I mean, think: Imperial Assault II got a bunch of work done really fast and had been going for 2 and a half years, and still are far away from completion.

But to answer the original question: I am not sure or not whether we will have the mod for Kane's Wrath. I see no reason to move to KW unless there are some changes to the engine that we really would like to use.

Sub-factions are a cool idea for CNC3, but I think that Galaxy at War can be just as good without sub-factions. But we'll see.

I am also more liking the idea of 'adding as we go'. TC's take pretty long before even being playable. So, the bit by bit is my prefered mode of modding.
Besides, having an earlier release gives us players the chance to shower some more praise on a job well done.

Exactly :)

Though we probably won't release it bit by bit. We'll probably have a demo, or some sort of mini-mod, but we won't release too much before the original release.

IA2 is actually not dead. There is actually work being done on it, surprisingly.

Well, then that's your decision...we can't make you not sell EAW. All we can do is tell you that IA2 is not dead. You don't see progress reports because it is ONLY coding going on. Testing, balancing, making death FX's, all that crap that you don't see in progress reports.

But we will learn from one of IA2's mistakes, which was to announce a mini-mod that never came out.

I am not actually taking it back. I am just saying one the things that made me want to buy that game was that mod and it is a bit disappointing how there mod is going.

Yeah but unless it is absolutly increadable for example being like a entirely different game not many people are going to bother with it if it is release takes another year. Unfortunately most eaw moding was a big failure to high of expectations and not enough people to do the work and mod teams began to crumble as they lost intrest. Luckly for you if your mod get released with in 4 or so months after kanes wrath their should be tons of people playing it.
