Ok, so here I am. Back in the business of modding, which was the thing that made me see what I want to to with my life (seriously). :D

This week I suddenly got the urge to play BFME, and thus came to think of the mods that were unreleased at the time of my quiting (almost a year, to the day). And then the "modding-bug" bit me, and I started to continue the work of my Hero Mod. The first thing I did was make it work on the latest patch, before I started removing some bugs.
Then I posted a topic here on T3A to see if there ws interest, and there was, to my great surprise, quite alot of support for my revival. I even got a (highly talented) team member in Matias! :)

So here we are. At the beginning of the era of heroes domination. Hopefully the mod will be 100% finished this time, and also liked by the public.

Rock on, people!!!!! :blink:

Techtree! Always fun :)

Men

Halbarad;
Rank 1: Mount
Rank 4: Summon Dunedain. Summons 3 battalions of Dunedain
Rank 7: Haste of the North. Gives a speed bonus to himself and nearby mounted troops. Only usable when mounted
Rank 10: Banner of Elendil. Pulls up the Banner of Elendil which gives an enourmos attack bonus to nearby troops, as well as making the enemy scared

Aragorn; I'll give him a mount instead of his leadership

Eomer; Gets a summon at Rank 10. The Rohan Allies of the spellbook

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elves

Celeborn;
Rank 1: Mount
Rank 3: King of the Woods. Gives an armor boost to nearby elves
Rank 5: Celeborn the Wise. Increases the production of Mallorn Trees
Rank 7: King of Lorien. The Spellbook Elven summon
Rank 10: Elven Gift. Grants nearby allied heros invulnerability for a short period of time.

Legolas; Knife fighter is now a toggle

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dwarves

Grimbeorn; He'll have different abilities, based on wether he's a bear or a man.
Both:
Rank 1: Transform. Transform between a man and a bear
Bear mode:
Rank 3: Rage of the Mountain. Like Aragorn's Elendil.
Rank 8: Stomp. Causes knockback and damage to enemies..
Man mode
Rank 10: (Needs a good name). Gives nearby goblins a debuff

Bard II;
Rank 3: Wounding Arrow. Like Faramir's but stronger
Rank 6: Slayer of Dragons. Leadership, gives Fire Drakes a debuff
Rank 8: King of Dale. Like Legolas' Train Archers
Rank 10: Black Arrow. A one-shot-kill weapon on everyone/everything, except heroes, who gets their health seriously sliced.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mordor

Gothmog;
Rank 1: Mount. Mounts a warg.
Rank 2: Lieutenant of Minas Morgul. Leadership. The normal leadership
Rank 3: Bloodthirsty
Rank 8: The Time of the Orcs. Increases Orcs attack for a period of time
Rank 10: Siege Commander. Summons some orcs and catapults

Mahud; Starts at Rank 5
Rank 1: Leader of Oliphants. His only power. A huge damage and armor bonus to nearby mumakils

Black Rider;
The Black rider and the Nazgul are now combined, so you can recruit 3 Nazguls who can mount a horse, but at Rank 5 they gain the ability to mount a fellbeast

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Isengard

Ugluk;
Rank 1: Uruk-hai Captain. Speed bonus to nearby uruks
Rank 3: Carnage. Same as Lurtz's
Rank 5: Supper. Heals nearby uruks
Rank 10: Glorious Charge(Working title)

Saruman;
I'll give him a red Word of Power instead of Dominate Enemy

This is, obviously, a WIP. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Any chance on adding to the create-a-hero feature? I'm just curious, I'm not really interested in playing BFME II any time soon. Good luck with your mod though :p

:) Ever heard of tactics? Transfers? Trying to win games, and trying to please fans, players, media and the board? It's addictive, although I haven't played it for several years now.

FM truly is addictive... Should have a warning. Seriously :xd:

Anyways, the PC used for modding has crashed, so I'm at the laptop now. And don't worry, none of the modding files have been lost ^_^

But won't be able to do any modding until a new one comes. Or, I will be able to mod, but unable to test. The laptop s***s donkey****, so no chance whatsoever of modding on this. But I'll be around :p

The new comp. is(/will be) Quad CPU (clocked to 3 GHz), 4GB RAM, GT8800*2 GPU etc., so should be able to run BFME 2 (and MANY more) on ultra :xcahik_:
So I'll return stronger than ever.

Hmmm, I can't get BFME (I or II) to start. Stupid Vista... Anyone knows of a smart/quick-fix for that problem? I could use the old (and I do mean OLD) computer, I guess, but that's not exactly wanted...
