Eh? We aren't going to be releasing a worldbuilder, EA does that. And it is already released, thats why we've been able to work on maps.

Hi I'm new here...this mods look great (I always thought that C&C3 was the best game for a SW mod)...but I have a question what are the tech trees for the Factions ,I remember long ago when this mod was for B4ME 1, I made a tech tree and you like it (it had everything from buildings to upgrades and even some sort of Inn Units and creeps) but I would like to know how is the tech trees now

The tech trees have changed some, not too much, but not just a tiny bit, from our BFME list. We haven't released them yet, and they are always subject to change, but soon I will put them up on our site under the Republic and CIS pages, and also post them here for discussion and suggestions.

I remember you from then, do you think you could find your tech tree and post it here again? That would help a bunch.

I'll also work on getting our tech tree up so it'll be easier to compare the two and see if any changes should be made to ours.

Oh, and welcome to CNC3.net :D And I agree, CNC3 is a perfect game for a SW mod.

Well, cnc3 is PERFECT for just about any mod.. :rolleyes:.. but not C&C3.. any game could fit on the engine....
lets hope i finaly can make a nuke kill one map.. and kill all the trees/buildings.. and i mean an 8 player map.... [/oftopic]

It is for CNC3. It was for BFME2 first, but the mod moved. Actually, whenever a mod is here, it's for CNC3, unless they are planning to move the next day ;) . So it's for CNC3.

We have different concepts for resource gathering, but we haven't decided what we will do in the end. It will most likely also depend on what we can code and what not ;)

I have a question...How can jedis be put in..GDI or Nod dont have any melee units.. :)


Also if you need an idea for space battles..I think i found out how...Remeber good ol Starcraft Where you would build a base on a Space platform and then have fights there? well why not do that but in this way...Make the platform look Like republic Spacecruiser or CIS cruiser and build ur base in there! and then send your aircrafts Like LAAT's or Something i dunno and have your battles like that. but you'd need to detail space alot like the starcraft 2 demo cuz if it was a standing still space that would suck...(3d asteroids in the background maybe a planet down there) :good: and btw will each race have their own controlable Battleship like these?Posted ImagePosted Image

We have some plans for space battles (which do not contain the idea of using the big ships as platform-style bases though) but most of it is quite speculative at the moment, as we don't know what will be possible techincally. Besides, land battles will have a much higher priority, since that's what the mod aims for in the first place. We will definitely look into it though, and try our best to make some kind of space battle that is enjoyable.

I did have a small idea about replacing 'superweapons' like the nuke with an orbital bombardment, and you might see a large ship like those above fly over and bomb the hell out of the place, but otherwise, like DLOTS said, space battles are speculative and come second to land battles.

Maybe...Just maybe you guys could make a Space Fight like u build ur base in space and the buildings are like attached to asteroids and they build stuff like land battles just in space...

Thats a good idea....but we haven't thought much about how buildings are going to work in space battles yet. We don't even know if its going to be possible to make space battles good enough that we would want to include them (but we hope we will).
