I'm running Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge without any modification or anything on a completely new computer. I downloaded the Terrain Expansion and the NPatch latest version. I installed the Terrain Expassion first and then installed the NPatch. It said it should work.
However, now when I start up Yuri's Revenge, it won't start and simply says that there's an error in the main executable for the game. When I de-install NPatch again, it works...
Can anybody help me with this?

Sorry, I forgot to give you guys the technical data..
Operating system is Windows XP, with no service pack
The error report says "gamemd.exe" gets an internal error as soon as it's supposed to open by the normal YR shortcut in the start menu.
The same problem happens with Rock Patch version 1.10.0036
Hardware:
Processor: AMD Sempron 3000+, 1.8 GHz
Memory: 448 MB RAM
Direct X: 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
Harddrive: 149 GB
Free discspace: 142 GB
There's no internet connection yet
The Yuri Revenge update was downloaded from Tarquel.net link, as found on Purple Alert downloads

You must be the only person with a problem, because I've never heard of any problems with RP or NP with the TX installed and I was involved in creating and testing the TX.

Try to install SP2 for XP, or run gamemd.exe in compatibility mode (Win98)

(it was me with the advice about SP2 and compatibility mode)
2 VK: Such error happens on XP prior to SP2 (32 bit, if that matters). AFAIK, it's not related to Terrain Expansion.
This was "introduced" in RPCE 50. RPCE 50+, RPCE74 line, RP 1.10, NPatch - all giving error at startup on pre-SP2 XP. Versions up to RPCE48 (inclusive) worked fine. Hope that helps

I'll install Service Pack 2 as soon as possible then and see if that works. Hopefully it does.

And VK.. you should really keep doing this stuff. I managed to get an older version of Rock Patch working. 1.07, I believe, and the stuff in there is amazing. But NPatch is even more breathtaking.

I can not be installed NPATCH SE. when installed, it is error "Old file not found.However,a file of same name was found.No update done since file contents do not match"
