this is a nice thing to create some cnc3 voxels and even better INFANTRY-SHAPES
lets take for example the NOD Avatar.
it comes with all necessary files (skin,bones,animation,...).
you only need 3dsmax and flyby´s shp-script.
i resized the model to 66% of its original size.
for an vehicle shp, like the avatar, you need only a set of walkinframes, firingframes and 1 standingframe for all 8 directions (you get the anims from the avatar directory. each animation comes with its own max-file. remeber to skin an resize your model).
after some rendering and renaming and importing in shp-editor you get something like this...(somewhat like 600frames including shadows)
(reload image if it does not cycle)
easier it is to create vxls...just aplly the material and export to 3ds...
use 3ds2vxl and tada...
some ingame
the hardest thing in modding RA2/TS in my oppinion is/was to create new infantryshps...
that´s past now! you get 10-15 guys with the artpacks...
do the same as for the avatar...but you need more different frames...blablablablupp
this is what came out just before i got lack of time...
i would be very surprised if nobody tries to take advantage of this new possibilities...
and btw...as shown before you can even creat stuff for TD and RA
