"Sure thing." Darkman fished around in the small red bag. He found the brace and began fumbling with the straps, attempting to connect it in some way to Ryn's leg. The frustration grew on him as the straps made less and less sense. The sound of running feet on a nearby rooftop wasn't making this easier...

"Damnit, anyone know how to put one of these things on! We got incoming!" Darkman threw the brace to the ground with annoyance, and pulled out his pistol and turned to face the sprinters.

He brought the gun quickly up...and lowered it again.

"Christ. That's a lot of decaying flesh." A massive amount of sprinters were charging across the roofs towards them. "Someone get the brace on Ryn, we gotta go!"

It was a firly big car park, three levels, Kelvin was on the second level now. He heaped towards the noise down below, could that be the people from befor? he thought to himslef, he walked down the stair way. Just around the corner, he could here them, they were close... but somthing didnt feel right.

As soon as Kelvin steped around the corner he saw what was wrong.
The infected Security Guard staired up at Kelvin, and began the shambler over to him, once more Kelvin grabed out his iron rod,
"who'd have thought a bit of metal found at a construction yard would be so useful, right boo?" he swung it as hard as he could, the shamblers head cracked sideways, it stummbled, but righted itself, with its head still turned to the side at an impossinle angle, it stepped forward once more, Kelvin knocked it again, and again. the second blow hit the creature right in the chest, but it did nothing, Kelvin realised, the shambler was still wearing its security guard's armor, bullet proof, and strike resistant.
Kelvin smashed it in the heap one last time, this time, the heap was severed, sailing through the air, to land five paces away, the body fell to the ground. Kelvin was just about to walk off, when boo jumped from his pocket onto the ground, and scrambled back over to the guard.

"What? what is it boo?" Kelvin bent over the pick up the rodent, and noticed the gun, tucked into its holder, on the shamblers body...
"hhhmmmm... well, i guess they arnt using anything anymore" he grabed the gun, a full magazine well, that was lucky, he then rummaged through the shamblers pockets, "another card, this one was red, with the words 'Full Security Access' along the top,
"well boo, this just keeps getting better and better" after further inspection kelvin found another magazine full of bullets, and also took the security guards armor
"safty first" he said to boo, as he put on the armour. He left the shambler there, in only its office unifor, all its pockets out turned.

He headed back the way he came, now he could get into the rest of the building, he was going to ahve a look around, he might even find a small armoury, after all, security guards have guns, and it felt better knowing he had a gun, he could keep his distance from the infected, you never know if one of them might get you in a melee.

he got up to the lobby again, and looked around at the names above the doors, as he kept walking, opening doors and checking what was inside, he noticed an elevator, and a sign saying:

Main Power Switch
Surveillance Hub
Main Office
Executives Lounge
Rooms 30-45"-

"well boo, what are we waiting for?" Kelvin got into the elevator, and pressed the button... but nothing happened
"damn, looks like only the security systems are on, and the worst part, it says the main switch is up there, guess we're walking" he put boo into his backpack, and set off up the stairs.


((ok, ill stop there, so im not to far ahead, im going to be going into the surveillance room, and going to watch you guys, through the security camera network, that way, when you get to the car park, i can open the door for you))

"Well, Ryn, no time to put your brace on. Up you go!" said Titus, heaving Ryn onto his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. "You stay conscious, and keep shooting behind us. I'll do the walking. Just tell me if it gets too bumpy."

"Johnny, get moving! He can get the brace on later! Grab the bag and move, double-time!" he said, moving like the large-but-agile halfback he was in high school.

(OOC: Okay, we're still on the rooftops, right? If so, then the next bits are going to be hard to type for me. Halfbacks are meant for open field, not cramped rooftop. )

the door swung open, Kelvins spiffy new all-access card was useful for that kind of thing. He walked into the musty room, screens looked back at him in their pale flickering light.
It wasn't a very large room, but could fit three people comfortably. Most of the monitors were switched off, but the rest were left on. rubbish was sitting around the room, fast food wrappers left on surfaces, a coffee cup with just enough left in it for a small spill was left on the table.

"well now, lets see what we have here" Kelvin let boo down for the backpack, and brushed aside the wrappers and other rubbish. He flicked on the screens, and began searching around the place, it seemed he was in luck, this was the main security hub for this whole area, all security camera's in the local area could be viewed from this central hub.

Kelvin flicked through the different selections on the largest monitor. nothing, nothing, just a bit of rubbish floating by, nothing, yuck.. infected eating someone's face, nothing, nothi... hey wait, kelvin flicked back. There! the camera was mounted on the roof top of a building somewhere near by, and from its view point he could see some people on the roof of another building. kelvin tried to get a better view, but the camera wasn't close enough.

"well, those were defiantly people boo, maybe if i..." Kelvin was talking as much to himself as he was the rodent, "ah ha! here we go" kelvin had flicked through the channels, and had found one on the build where the people were.
He turned the camera, so that it was facing them.. yep defiantly people, no rotting flesh or anything.

he took a closer look, it seemed one of them was hurt, he had blond hair, kelvin could make out the face on the small screen, the man to be about Kelvins age.
kelvin then took time to look at some of the others standing around the injured man:
one with brown hair, and a bulky build, with a red bag, which kelvin took to be a first aid kit,
and another, who had just picked up the injured man and slung him over his shoulder, with blond hair, a bit longer then the other mans hair.

Kelvin also saw others, a young guy was jumping and running across the buildings roof, but was out of sight before kelvin could inspect him closer, there were others there too, but they weren't close enough to get a good look at, and no other camera's were in the area to get a better look, kelvin squinted at the screen, but still could quite make out the others as well as he could the ones closer to the camera.


Kelvins watched on as they got ready to... leap to the next building
"but thats crazy!... well i guess that would explain the injuries, those people are going to kill themselves! and theres nothing i can do, but hope for the best"
Boo just looked up at him,
"dont you look at me like that" he said, as he looked at the screen again.




((ok, while i was posting this, i got kinda confused, who is on the roof tops, how many of you? also, sorry about my posting being so long, i promise they will shorten down once i join with the group))

Jamie stopped running, he was now on top of a medium height squat building, with a large red sign in hunched letters proclaiming to the world that it belonged to a company called 'Security Corp'. He was about to move on when he noticed that he was standing in front of a security camera. This on its own would not be that interesting, in fact, it would be more interesting if a security company did not have security cameras. However, what stopped Jamie in his tracks was the red LED blinking underneath it. This building had obviously got a generator to provide power. For Jamie this meant warmth, safety, and possibly cooked food.

"Hey Guys, lets try and get in here!"

"Might as well, maybe get some food. And i'm sure we could all use some rest after that encounter."

As the gang charged across the rooftops, the crowd of sprinters continued to close the gap between them. At this rate, the mass of undead would be upon them in a couple of minutes.

((OOC: That is to say, get a move on, guys! Get to the SC and down to ground level, or inside it somehow - let's not keep Kelvin waiting ))

Darkman raised his handgun and let off a few shots, stepping backwards. Two sprinters fell to the ground, another bent slightly as a bullet tore through it. Darkman turned his back and pulled quickly on Titus' sleeve.

"C'mon man, let's book!"

Darkman began running towards the Security building.

Everything was happening at once!

Kelvin had to watch multiple screens just to keep up with what was going on

On two screens to his left a large hoard of sprinters were moving past, finally seeming to realize how the people had escaped them, and a screen behind him some shamblers were making pursuit too, though not as fast.
on the screen to his right he saw the kid from before, the fast one.

On the main screen he could see most of the rest of them, leaping and bounding after the kid. he saw that they were heading for a door on the roof, but kelvin knew it to be locked tight, "if only i had some control!", said Kelvin, slamming his hands on the desk.

Suddenly boo leaped down from the table top, and squeezed himself under a door in the cramped room "no boo! not now, not now!" he scrambled for the hamster, he was not about to loose boo, he shoved open the door, and picked up boo,
"why did you do that" he scolded the rodent, as he put it into his pocket. he looked around this room, and noticed that this one seemed to have all sorts of buttons and control panels on it, even a microphone.

"Thats it!" Kelvin switched on the equipment, he only hoped the people outside would hear the internal speaker system in the building, he took a deep breath, to calm himself
"Listen To Me, People On The Roof Top", as he was saying this he was fumbling around with the control panels
YES!, perfect, he found a button, it was for opening the automatic door for the car park.

"If You Can Hear Me, I Cant Open The Roof Top Door, Too Far Away, But Right Hear I Can Open The Automatic Doors For The Parking Complex, Make Your Way Down, And Ill Open The Doors For You" Kelvin repeated the message, then went back to the screens to watch their progress, as soon as they were at the doors, he would open them, his hands were trembling.

He could only hope to hell that they heard his message...

John turned and fired a burst into the horde behind them. "Who the hell just said that? Did you guys hear that?"

In a moment of flashback, Titus got low, into his old 'scatback' stance from high school. He juked as he ran through the structures on the roof, trying to lose as little speed as possible. Eventually, the edge of the building drew close, and Titus decided to go for it, without a second thought. He leaped... With Ryn still on his shoulder. The momentum enough to clear the gap, but gravity taking its toll on their altitude, Titus threw Ryn onto the rooftop, using up precious momentum to get him across the gap... He fell.
CRASH!

((Yeh, he did... but Titus didn't actually fall. Everyone knows he's mad good at Parkour and Freerunning, so he grabbed onto the ledge of some window and pulled himself up. Probably. BTW, I love having my character injured... I really don't have to do any of the RPing! But that's only cuz I'm lazy!))

(OOC: Not parkour... Just breaking through windows. And, by fall, I meant into the ground. Which he didn't. He fell through a conveniently-placed window on the building that Copa is on. If I killed Titus, I'm not sure if I'd have the ideas to make another character.)

"NOO!" Kelvins heart nearly leaped out of his chest, from his view on the security camera, he saw one of the figures nearly fall, it was the one carrying the injured guy. Kelvin could see the one that had fallen, he franticly switched camera's on the screen next to the main screen
"oh my god.. that was too close.." letting his heart and breathing rate return to normal. He saw the inside of the building, only barely in his view, he saw the man, he had crashed through the window, but was safe.

It seemed they had heard him, they were heading over, he went back to the speakers, and repeated the message one more time, just in case, then he added
"Okay, I Can See An Easy Way For You To Get Down, There Is A Metal Stair Way On The Back Of The Building, It Doesn't Lead All The Way Down, But You Should Be Able To Jump From The Bottom Of It, To The Ground, Then Just Run Around To The Front Of The Car Park, I'll Open The Door."

He watched the screen ready to leap into the other room and press the button as soon as they got there.

Jamie heard crashing behind him, voices, groans, but he did not concentrate on it. He took in the information it gave him, and he followed it. Dropping off the edge of the roof he held the vertice of the rooftop with his hands. His knuckles grew white as he swung himself left and right, until he had enough momentum to drop down onto a window ledge. He did not balance on this for long, but instead used the slip to direct his fall, so he was horizontal in the air, arms outstretched he grabbed the bottom bar of the emergency stairwell and swung. At the apex of the swing, when he had lost his dangerously high momentum, he let go, and land, knees bent, onto the hard asphalt floor. Running to the car park door he pulled out the spray paint from his satchel, and wrote a large, hastily drawn 'J' on it. This ihe had done for all the buildings he had entered, to tell him whether to scavenge there again. leaning from foot to foot he nervously waited for the door to open.

Darkman sprinted across the rooftop and hurled himself violently over another gap. The edge of the roof caught him a good one in the stomach. The handgun flew out of his hand and clattered onto the building. With a groan he swung his legs up onto the rooftop. He glanced towards the pistol and started to get up, when a pair of deteriorating legs landed in front of him.

Darkman rolled away from the sprinterand began rising to his feet, when a hand gripped his arm. He brought the spike down hard on the creatures head, killing it swiftly. As he ran towards the staircase, grabbing up his gun on the way, he heard the sound of more sprinters landing behind him.He spun around to get on the ladder, shooting down another sprinter with a burst of gunfire. He slid down the ladder onto the first landing, spotting Titus and Ryn in the room.

"C'mon, onto this staircase!" Darkman fired above him a few times, and a shambler fell from the rooftop. He vaulted over a railing and charged down the stairs,the shamblers following him thick onto the platform and stumbling down the stairs.

OOC: The stairs may be a bit dangerous now.

"Way to block the steps guys!" John jumped down on the stairs, almost slipping off, but catching himself. He ran down the stairs following Darkman.

Titus got up woozily from his little stunt, with his vision a little blurred. He looked around, and heard Darkman behind him, though it seemed far away.
He turned, and saw Johnny swinging around on fire escapes like a spider monkey. He remembered Ryn being on the rooftop, and in his current situation, not able to sufficiently fight off any decent shamblers. He looked for the nearest exit to the room, found it, and sprinted up the stairs.
