A video showing FEMA running it's own news conference with it's own employees playing the part of the journalists.

I remember when we were afraid of FEMA back when it was created under the Jimmy Carter administration. Black helicopters, men with guns dressed in black. Now they are down right silly.

While the California tragedy was efficient with the evacuation and more than enough personel to make sure everyone was safe, I can't give credit to FEMA for a job well done.

Yet enlight of all this success, and despite the bad event, FEMA decides to have a fake press conference. Even the Homeland security department said WTF, as well as the White House?

Who does FEMA answer to again?

Who actually made the decision to have a fake news conference?

Are they still receiving a paycheck compliments of the US population? And how much are they getting paid?

I'm not sure what to say since I know little about this FEMA.

But still it's a weird story I must say .

FEMA seems to me to be a fine example of something that the government have privatized and lost power over. people who are supposed to help out during disasters should be under strict observance of the government.

luckily it seems that the goodwill of the american people to FEMA has hit a dry-spell after Katrina, so they have to watch out or they will get their ass handed to them.

FEMA is a very strange entity that scared alot of people along the way, seems impotent currently. I don't quite understand it or how it operates. Seems shady.

While it was created by Jimmy Carter (far left) it appears to gather no love from either side of the aisle.

Maybe it's time to do away with or reform it to a large extent.
