1. Doesn't go here.
2. It is pointless - very basic ideas, it's basically ROTWK plus a couple of factions, hardly worth a whole new game. They could at least begin to right the wrongs of BFME II. Why is Bombadil, Earthquake etc still powers? Plus EA won't listen, it's EA. Plus, RJ-ROTWK already has all those factions.

Still an interesting idea I think, but they're a long way from releasing anything, and I don't like the name Bfme3 at all for a mod.

Now RA I would call (almost) a new game with everything they made (without release yet though)

Well at least the intentions of these people seem right

They are going to a games event soon, where they will try to talk to EA about it. I've told them that their ideas are very limited and lack a unique selling point, but they refuse to listen. It's practically RJ-ROTWK without the BFME 1 walls, or rjcam.

I personally don't understand why people are making a big fuss about it all. If it were a mod saying they either plan to, or have done, all that stuff, they would give a damn, but because they say they're talking to EA about it, everyone keeps posting and complementing very basic ideas.

I agree, since I suppose Matt left a few words out there... I think you were saying this Matt?:

I personally don't understand why people are making a big fuss about it all. If it were a mod saying they either plan to, or have done, all that stuff, no one would give a damn, but because they say they're talking to EA about it, everyone keeps posting and complementing very basic ideas.

And to that ^ I agree... It's just a basic mod. That's all...

Anyways, this has nothing to do with S.E.E. other than the fact that some ppl said that SEE would fit nicely as a BFME3. To that I'm flattered, but I think it would require a lot more for that...

But don't beleive the hype about a BFME3. I've been there myself as a "victim" of a spoof =p The simple fact is that BFME-concept is dead to EA. Trust me on this. I've made numerous attempts as a journalist to contact them as politely and "grown up" professionally as I could... The response was always: __________ ! - Nothing, nada, zip, zero! BFME is DEAD, and it's actually guys like us at T3A that keep the "dream" of an interactive Middle Earth alive and in the process "help" EA sell the final copies of that game-genre :p

Stupid Idea, if they would like more attention, they would add TOTALLY NEW factions like: Hobbits, Dunedain, Numenor they would get alot more attention then the factions you named .

The factions they are add are a lot more sensible that Hobbits... Although IMO, a BFME III should not be in the Third Age, I don't think there's much more they can do there whilst still having a different game.

Seriously... if they'd ever do BFME3, which they won't... UNLESS the upcoming movie "The Hobbit" might spring life into LotR concept again... I'd say the FIRST thing they need to do is change the engine and make the game fully 3D with vector graphics =p Preferably in the same quality as the last gen 1st person shooters, hehe

Hehe just imagining that makes me feel evil all over. :p

My sister would probabley run away when she saw an orc lol. :)
Its a shame that bfme3 was never made. Ok ok i know this is EA we are talking about but they have done some good games but a rts game with the new graphics engine would be awesome. (Supreme Commander has allready done this)

Lame idea. Wrong place to put it (Also known as :p ). EA is a lazy company, LotR lost it's shiny smile.

2004: "EA, BRING ME MORE OF THE MIDDLE EARTH SUGAR!!"(BfME)

2006: "WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!....Im bored...MORE! MORE!!" (BfMEII)

LAte 2006: "Wtf? What do you want us to do with this???" (RotWK)

2007: "Get outta here EA, who needs ya!"

EA would bring us another dissanpointment. And also this topic is

:) Spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam :)

There are plenty of mods out there that completely own this idea. However, I think I would at least let EA try to make amends for their pretty disappointing performance of BFME2 and ROTWK.

They wouldn't have enough time to make it, as they are making Army Of Two and the EA sports games.(they make kool games) but are crap company.

I can assure you "EA" can make more than 2 games at once :xcahik_:
In fact, EA isn't even a developer, it's a publisher

And also, it's EA Los Angeles who developed BfME (as well as Command and Conquer 3 and the newer Medal of Honour titles).

Army of Two is EA Montreal. A completely different bought-out company. EA Sports is a completely different brand altogether, and they're located in Flordia (Tiburon), Canada.

I get fed up of iterating this point. Does noone in the BfME community know where what they buy comes from and just assume all the time :(?

Finally, EA will not likely purchase or publish a mod project, especially an RTS based one.
