I recommend you to use the CUSWE (www.cuswe.org) as a source of information, it is very complete and reliable.
According to the recently published New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, the Home One has 29 turbolasers and 36 ion cannons, because it focuses on "ion attacks."
Another thing that may appear off-topic, but as we are talking about canon, its not completely off-topic. One of the things that bothers me most about the contradictions in the references is starfighter speed. A Clone Wars Era starfighter, such as the Jedi Starfighter (Delta 7), is much more faster in atmosphere than a Galactic Civil War starfighter such as the A-Wing, even though the A-Wing technology is better and the Delta 7 has much less acceleration in space. For instant, the Delta 7 can reach speeds of 12000 km per hour, while the A-Wing can reach only 1300 km. This is what the New Essential Guide said, so I suppose that the data is canon. I really think that Lucasfilm has to be more careful with this things, because it seems that we, the fans, know more about the Star Wars universe than the authors of the references and their supervisors.
By the way, this mod is the best by far, and I would like to make one suggestion: if you're too tired of making all the guns on the ships, or if you would like to make an alternate version of the mod with hardpoints, you could divide the weapons in a certain ratio. For example, if a Star Destroyer has 60 turbolasers and 60 ion cannons oficially, then you should divide by ten the number of weaponry that will appear in the game, so that the Star Destroyer will have 6 turbolasers and 6 ion cannons in the game. This ratio should apply for all ships. So then if I create and MC80 Calamari cruiser, I divide the 48 turbolasers by 10, so you put 5 of them onto the ship, and then divide the 20 ion cannons also by 10, and you put 2 ion cannons in the ship. This will allow you to keep the firepower on ships canonical, and it would show the true firepower of the ship.

There's a difference between something that's hand-crafted and two completely different-looking ships though. These three are clearly not the same ship and shouldn't be classified as such:I'm just going to not discuss it with you, it doesn't matter anyways. Home one, like all other mon calimari craft up to date was a unique craft. the mc branding was just an attempt to standardize things.
Saxton:One question: where did you get the number of weaponry for the MC120, and where are you going to find the canonical data of the other Mon Cal cruisers?
It's fanon, but popular enough. 29 cannot be correct at any rate - as I've said in the previous post, it contradicts the description of Home One from the RotJ novelization. In fact, one source makes all the difference in the world:The turbolaser armament of 29 seems small and odd. Maybe it is a transposition error from 92?
I'm considering changing the MC120 to 145 instead of 92 to make it less arbitrary. Right now, the MC120a has 145.However, the earliest known source to give the ship this armament, the 1984 first edition of A Guide to the Star Wars Universe, describes her as carrying 29 batteries of five turbolaser cannon each, for a more impressive total of 145 turbolasers and 36 ion cannons.
That was explained as the atmospheric speed with deflectors shields on, while the old ratings, the A-wing and such (which were too slow to begin with), are for them off. Right now, as far as I know, there is no craft that has been rated for both, so it's impossible to establish a reliable conversion.

Do you start with the Liberty Class and then upgrade to Home-One Class, and will the weapons on the Home-One Class upgrade to be better/heavier than the corresponding upgrade level on the Liberty?
I mean current weapons are just plain turbos.
I assume upgrades have some heavy turbos and dual turbos in the mix?
Obviously the initial MC-80 class are retro-fit liners, but the later upgrades are purpose designed, and presumably would have the capacity to have some really heavy weapon blisters in the mix, especially as the main battery of an ISD has longer range than the normal weapons on a Liberty Class.

Oh. Well, I knew there weren't any with just one .This' the ship I was talking about, with the stubby wings. No worries then.
It shouldn't be too much longer now. I'm really pushing to compete in the mod of the year votes. That being said, I've still got a bit of work to do yet before the release, so we'll see .Do you plan to have a BETA of your MOD for the forumpeople here only ?
