Not too certain if this fits here, but it's worth a shot.
I was trying to play a comp stomp match with a friend of mine on my computer, and me on my laptop. Regardless of what map we chose, the games would have a reconnection error anywhere from 5 seconds to 10 minutes into a match. It got hella frustrating, to say the least. I ran the YR cleanup exe, but to no avail, still the issue. NPatch is (at least was... dunno of YR cleanup get it) installed.

And on the eighth day, god created kbyhil.hjfvgchtnm jhv o9, nhp;.

That NPatch explains...
RS1.99 uses the CE edition of Rock Patch I think...I'm not sure. I'm actually doubting that it uses any hackmod at all. Try both (and no, YR Cleanup won't catch either prog)
Additionally NPatch probably will probably have recon bugs for a little bit I would conjecture until VK actually works on that.

Yeah, I'll just reinstall both tomorrow while doing homework. I was thinking it was NPatch, but did not want to spend a half an hour uninstalling and reinstalling RA2/YR on two computers. Is there a way to simply remove the NPatch files or whatnot? I could try that, too. Would like to do some future crisis on random occasions... and it does not work without NPatch.

sure, depending on which yr/ra2 you have if its first decade simply delete GAMEMD and all the npatch files go to generals instalation menu in add/remove you will find a repair buttion which will check and reinstall missing fiels. And if its regular ra2/ YR which i use, delete GAMEMD all the npathc files and use this link which bolt gave me and i used countless times ^^ it will let you download a fresh GAMEMD.

It may do if you are playing a mod that does not require it.NPatch doesn't recon... I can confirm that with full confidence.
