Thanks, yeah the Goblins REALLY needed more heroes. I will do one more for them, as I've removed the Drakes as "heroes". They're still in game though, but with other functions =)

Great work on the great goblin naz, I love that you used the painting in the skin, that worked out really well.
Gorkil/Azog's looking nice too, have you changed the scorpion to warg?

Ok, small update... The Fire Drakes have been removed as "heroes" for Moria, since Moria now have more fitting heroes as Azog, Bolg and Great Goblin, with Golfimbul coming up... Instead, I placed 1 Fire Drake as a slave to the Treasure Trove. Rather fitting actually!

Posted Image

If the Trove is destroyed, the Drake can be controlled. But as long as the Trove is standing, the Drake will protect it. If the Drake is killed, another drake will be spawned in 60 secs...

EDIT: Oh btw... if anyone knows how to calculate Exit coordinates, please tell me. Atm the Drake exits in the wrong end of the Trove... :p

Next small update also concerns the Goblins...
I was never really 100% happy with the statue for Goblins, that I lended from the Minas Morgul map. It's good, but I don't really see them as statue builders. Moria faction should be about simplicity... so I think this big drum should fit them better as a "statue/monument" thingy... When selected, it gives a mixture of goblin screams and drums from the deep

Posted Image

Somehow the ground Decal (that shows pulsating when selected) got screwed up though, upon changing the model into this one. And also, the "bib" won't work. But I can live with that... =p

That's a great idea! I believe you've got an animation in the good campaign where a troll hits those drums. Might be awesome to include the troll, or maybe any troll can hit the drums for some kind of bonus.

Really? Hm... couldn't find anything like that in WB or codes... but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist off course
The problem would be animations as that is defenitely a model of it's own, and you can't really mix two models into one, even if the design is pretty much the same. They are bound to their bones/anims and those are two separate objects. The only way to do this would be to have the troll always stand by the drum, ready to hit it, or maybe fade it in/out upon each time you use it. Might not look that good... (if I would even find that troll in the codes).

A more advanced solution would require a more advanced coder. But I'm sure Sûl could probably code the regular Trolls (Cave Trolls) to be able to "attack" the drum with a swing of the club (tree). Would be awesome indeed, but way beyond my coding abilities =/

Great!

I like the drum...maybe you could add a "power to the drum",so that you have "harvest" or wahtever for the goblins^^ bonuses.

Yeah, I've thought about something like that... Atm it works just like the statue with the common bonuses

As you might now, the Rohan Armory has always been lacking Level Up states and Damage states... One modder that put a stop to that long ago was Rob38 in his mod Helm's Deep - Last Hope. Today he was kind enough to donate this fixed model to SEE, and I just checked this work of art in game 5 mins ago - awesome improvement indeed. Thanks Rob! :thumbsupdrool: Now all the Rohan structures are pretty up to date with the Gondor ones... and Rob38 has earned another spot in the SEE Credits (as he's behind the initial setup of what became RJ Cam too) =)

I tried to add sparkles to the rotating stone wheel too, just like the Isengard Armory have, but it didn't work =p

Sweet, I always felt that the Goblin king needed to be renamed to Azog, I also knew Bolg would need to be in it. I never really thought about Great Goblin, but now that I read the Hobbit, he should make an interesting appearance.

This is all genius! :thumbsupdrool:

I love the drum too!

I've been trying to get this to work on a map that I am working on. The first stage is to name the troll, and then script it to be set to
Model Condition State = CHEER_FOR_GROND
That sets the troll onto the first frame of the beat drum anim, the scrip has to be set to fire continually on the troll unit in order to keep the anim playing all the way through. The troll freezes otherwise.
That's the theory of it, at the moment the game freezes on start up when I have those scripts in, but I'll work it out, I know its possible.

The only thing is, I don't know if you could do this for the statue, as I don't know if it can be done through coding.
