I really enjoyed this mod (1.04/1.05) and would really love to play the next update. How can I get in on the next private release? And will the Arnor faction bug be fixed on WOTR in the next release? Thanks a lot for all the hard work you all put into this. It brings a fresh experience every time I play.

Cheers!

the private release is pretty much closed, but rob periodically adds people to the beta tester team. just be active on the forums, and if we ever have another screenshot/video contest, be ready :thumbsupsmiley:

I used to frequent some of the BFME forums, but I stopped going to 'em after my mom went into the hospital. I usually stay off of them now, but I've got to ask: when is the next public release for this mod going to be? I'm dying for it. Been checking up on it like, once a day for almost three weeks now.

This is the best mod out there for BFME, dude, keep it up. I'm loving it. New factions, new units...you're doing great. I would love to see more unit reskins though; or when your done, will you have reskinned them all? The Noldor Warriors for the Elves are an awesome unit as far as stats go, but I'd think they would be much cooler with updated armor. I also don't understand why the Elves don't get the Imladris Warriors unit. I mean, after all...they ARE the Elves.

Another idea would be to permit one hero in a faction to be available through the Inn, when you use the Inn Alliance feature. Maybe Aragorn or Gandalf for Gondor, Haldir or Arwen (preferably Haldir) for the Elves, Gimli or Gloin for the Dwarves...It'd be an awesome addition to that feature.

That also reminds me, updated Ring Heros would be cool. If you're using the Men, perhaps you could get Isildur? Or would that be streaching it some...? Isildur has always been one of my favorite characters. And I'm looking forward to the Arnor updates! ~Thumbs up~

And even should we die, we shall make an end that will be remembered for thousands of years. For beautiful Arnor that is, for glorious Númenor that was! It's hard to say when the next public release will be, but there is a lot of work going towards it, so it will be ready when it is ready :mad2: Keep watching this news topic for updates on its progress.

Alright, my man. Thanks a ton for the fast reply. Sorry for bugging XD Just wanted to make sure you guys didn't drop off the face of the earth. Thanks alot for bringing some excitement into a game that would have been boring LONG ago! You guys on the team are keeping this game going for me and for, I'm sure, tons of others while EA (Damn them!) leaves us in the dust for those C&C3 noobs!

Oh, I just turned on the game again after looking at those Last Alliance screenshots from the first post and figured that...well, I'm sure it would be almighty-hard, but adding some Arnor features to the C-A-H would be absolutely wicked awesome. The C-A-H would be hard to mess around with though...but hey, so is everything else, I imagine. Can't stress enough how impressed I am with all this, seriously. But little things like that would beef it up alot more.

the inns will be getting a total revamp, thats definatly one of the features. ring heros will also be revamped, but we're not sure how yet i think. as for reskins, anything could happen! :mad2:

Oh, I'm sorry about the double post, but I had an idea.

I was playing the Solo RJ campaign and I thought 'A spot on the Solo Play menu titled Epic Battles would be awesome...' A place where you could go and pick to play one of the bigger battles in LOTR. Carn Dum, Rivendale, Iron Hills, the battle for Minas Tirith or Helms Deep, or like, the seige of Lothlorien and the Black Gate. That would be a really cool feature, what do you guys think of it? Even if you just copied the battles from the campaign and turned them into that, it'd work out well. So you wouldn't have to go back into the campaign over and over again just to kick some butt on Helms Deep or whatever. I think it'd be cool, but then again, I don't know much about modding and coding. I could have just suggested the hardest thing on earth to do for modding and I wouldn't know XD

Also, do you guys have any ideas yet on the Arnor and Angmar reskins?

Well, first off for Arnor, I'll be doing an news update tomorrow that will show off the progress of Arnor. They are really coming away from an exact clone of Gondor.

Also, this actually is something that I've been thinking about and planning - the major battles. What I was planning on doing, and I've suggested it to other mods, is mini-campaigns and MP epic battles. Basically I can set up a WotR scenario that has only a small portion of the map unlocked, even just 1 map. Then I could have an unlimited amount of mini-campaign sections.

Or I can just take the maps to the skirmish menu and designate them with a naming convention if they are single maps.

I'm going to like watching Arnor develop into a more powerful, original faction. I've always wondered why EA didn't include them in the first place. The major battles idea also sounds good, I'm glad to see my suggestion wasn't the first idea someone had towards it. If you wanted to take the battles to the skirmish menu, it'd make it easier but it would attract more people towards the mod to add more features to the WOTR feature, I think. Also, I know another thing that I would like to see is more CAH features. Add more equipment for 'em, that would draw people in bigtime. Like, for instance, the MOTW male hero has no real armor. He's got the Rohan armor and he has something that looks alittle like plate-mail for Gondor, but other then that he's pretty much nude out there. Adding something like the armor Boromir or Faramir becomes equpied with after getting the Upgrade for them in the power-up menu would be neat...but like I said, I could be suggesting something super-tough and not know it. Anyways, thanks again for the fast replies and I'm looking forward to the progression of this mod!

Even in the current public beta, Arnor is my fave. I love their heroes, except a few of them use the same skins. And the Power to the Istari Power is wicked cool.

I completely agree. I use Arnor more then anyone else, just because they have a cool style. The armor and the helms, and the shields. They're also powerful, they start strong early and end strong late. I think that's cool. But I would like to see their weapons and armor upgraded when you research the Heavy Armor and Forged Blades upgrades. Maybe the armor wouldn't turn gold, but get brighter. Like, platinum. Or more detailed or something...~Shrugs~ Anyway, can't wait for the Arnor reskins!
