Hello to everyone.

Well,i have been with my "project" for some weeks,making more or less success with it.
Also i noticed that it may be easier to do some things,when there are others helping.I do not force anyone to help,just if you want.Well i have one problem now,which i seek answer to.

I Noticed that my FourthSide miners do not automatically go to harvest ore when coming out of War Factory,like Chrono,War and Slave Miners usually do.

Like this,they just stand there,but will move and go off to harvest when you build something else off same factory (they have to get out of way)

I dont have problems this time,which is good...but some screenies and other stuff.

About storyline of my mod: After Allieds and Soviet Union did defeat Yuri,he was sealed to Psychic Isolation Chamber,located in secret bunker complex. Everyone thought that war was over,they were wrong. Few months later,Psychic Isolation Chamber became under attack of mysterious forces,which were never seen before. For unknown reasons they destroyed whole bunker system,but let Yuri escape. Were those strange forces new Psi-Corps units? Only time will tell..

During couple of months,there were numerous strange attacks to central miltary locations around the world. There are couple of reports,which claim that attackers are aliens,because they seem to use very advanced weaponry. With Yuri running free,and these mysterious forces spreading chaos,world is once again in chaos.

President Dugan has once again called Allied and some Soviet leaders to important meeting held in Washington D.C,when his secretary said that there was transmission awaiting him. Strange image featuring seven green eyes with upside down triangle appeared on screen and three mysterious voices started to speak simultaneously. "Hello, leaders,you may wonder who are we? Well we explain to you. We are the leaders of PHANTOM,secret shadow organisation being hundreds of years old.We dont seek total world domination,like your friend Yuri does,we also released him to spread chaos so you have less time to deal with us.We seek total control of all information,we must control everything that people say,hear,see.For few decades,we have been waiting for opportunity,all time getting stronger and more advanced. Our time has came now.We must take control by miltaristic means now. You will surely retaliate,but it is vain. Nobody can stop us now. Allied and Soviet leaders were quite confused. Battle for world domination has begun again.

(Quite unoriginal ehh. Sorry for bad grammar..and it seems to be quite long too. Will be refined during time.)

PHANTOM hero infantry,Savant. No one knows is he really a man wearing heavy armor,or some kind of cyborg or robot. He is armed with 'Phazon' Plasma Cannon. Explosion leaves some strange substance to ground,which is extremely dangerous to infantry.However,anti-radiation armoring seems to block effects of this substance. (Credits to Dethro for Unit SHP,Gamemate for Projectile SHP and Clazzy for impact anim.)

PHANTOM Genesis Railgun Tank,their most powerful unit. Annihilating everything with powerful railgun beams it is huge threath to its enemies. It can also bring down aircraft and is quite slow in moving. War Factories cant handle huge production of these units,so only few can be constructed at once. (Credits to Napalm for VXL (tho modified by me) and Gamemate for impact anim.)

Gilead Hover Artillery,has long range cannon which shoots pulse balls at high velocity.It is especially strong against buildings and infantry.It has cheap armor,so it is best to protect these.( Credits to Gamemate for projectile SHP and impact anim.And Omegabolt for cool map :blink: )

Thanks,but though i am little unsure about should i even use Genesis,as it is edited version of Napalm's Masstodont.Though i heard that Napalm's work is freeware,he is credited for it anyways.

His mod is totally free source, and as long as you credit the author for editing released work (As long as it doesn't say otherwise) I see no problem.

Golem Battle Mech has job of basic vehicle of PHANTOM army.It is slower than Grizzly,Rhino and Lasher Tanks,but slightly more armoured.It has armour-piercing laser cannon mounted on its hands.(Credits to Machine for unit SHP and cameo render.)

Seems that PHANTOM is into mechs and cyborgs :p . These spider-like killing machines are armed with anti-personnel acid sprayers and missiles to bring down aircraft.They are quite fast,so infatry should beware them.

Still remember that old cancelled project called 'Chrono Prison'? Seems that this unit uses same concept as Prison.Soulsnatcher quite lives up to its name,it shoots its targets with antimatter railgun,instantly sending them to unknown distance,possibly to the Dirac Sea.It has quite long recharge time,so it should be protected while recharging.Also,it cant target structures as they are too big targets.(yes i know,crappy normals :D )

Also Firing offsets are quite wrong,fixing them over time.

Well thats it for now.Advice is welcome.
(also if someone is wondering,i am trying to finish basic tech tree of PHANTOM,then moving again to other sides.)

Wicked use of public resources. Your cameo skills are very good as well, but the Gilead Heavy Artillery one is a bit too cartoony and a bit off. Fix that and you get perfect cameos so far.

What will you use for buildings?

Actually Gilead voxel is going to be replaced too (or atleast getting some fixes,i think i redo cameo same time). I am not good with buildings so it is probably going to end to use of some public stuff.As temporary i have some prerelease allied stuff (public release) etc. as buildings. If i could,id make some whole new buildings,but not going to happen with mine skills.

Nice rail guns... though I would give that weapon a laser too, because if it lags and the game turns the rail particles off you won't see the shot. And Soul Snatcher is a nice voxel as well...

OmegaBolt,i dont notice lag when firing those railguns,not sure if it just that map or something.In bigger maps it tends to lag more i think.

Gilead voxel got upgraded.Smaller hover-pad thingies (Doesnt look like TS
Banshee anymore) and redesinged cannon.Also cameo got remade,hopefully less cartoony now.

These rather funny looking machines have been spotted in battlefields,harvesting ore for PHANTOM.It is unknown how they can carry so much ore,when they are so small.PHANTOM must have been researching same techonology as Soulsnatcher uses,to produce somekind of storage,which appears small,but has lots of space.They are faster (thanks to anti-gravitation technology they use.) and cheaper than standard Chrono and War Miners,but also lot of weaker in armor.

Also thinking ideas to replace Bot Miner,as it looks..kinda strange IMO :p

If the game lags too much it will shut off "high detail" effects, rail particles being one of them. Just because it doesn't lag for you offline doesn't mean it won't lag for others and in multiplayer.

Didnt thought it that way...Also i am not sure what Gamemate meant by "Lagless railgun Particles" in his post at here,as i used his method with those.Anyways,ill change into lasers or something.

that way isn't lagless, no such thing as lagless YR, it's just not quite as laggy as using normal particles. :p


Well i had feeling about this.Nice visual effects,but lag..thats the railgun particle systems.

You can have both laser and rail you know and yeah... that way isn't lagless, no such thing as lagless YR, it's just not quite as laggy as using normal particles. :p

Hey, thats some creative stuff going and yeah i'd work for some more detailed miner idea as current is tad odd :rolleyes:

as for optimizing railgun particles..better have short durations for the particles and not to use any translucency and would be good to use DemandLoad=true for the image (in art ini) you use to form the shp railgun beam.
