as for optimizing railgun particles..better have short durations for the particles and not to use any translucency and would be good to use DemandLoad=true for the image (in art ini) you use to form the shp railgun beam.

no. DemandLoad= flag do nothing in YR.
so don't spend your time to it!

no. DemandLoad= flag do nothing in YR.
so don't spend your time to it!


REALLY??? my experience tells otherwise as opposed to demandload=no, the gfx would be always loaded when needed instead of being RAMmed which means INSTANT ACCESS...so if it doesn't work for real...maybe you should make it work then but then it could explain why TS runs a bit better if demandload was disabled in RA2/YR... :lol:

It's nice to see people experiment with the Fourth Side logic. The aspect of adding a completely new side is appealing, and with sufficient graphics skils any trained monkey could do. It's allways intresting to see what people come up with (AKA: Unused/restored TS logics...)

I have been little busy lately,but still i have got something done.

First some screenshots.

Immaculate Missile Launcher,formidable anti-armor vehicle despite of it's small size. It's 'Light Spear' missiles break trough even thickest armor of enemy vehicle,but cant harm infantry and sctructures efficiently.

Void Tank,in its alpha stages. It uses some kind of energy weapon which will degrade enemy infantry into small particles. As prototype weapon,it cant harm structures and vehicles. (If i have time ill make better looking cameo. Also weapon has invisible projectile,as i dont know what kind of projectile should i do. Laser or something perhaps...)

Also..I am looking for structure art.As i know my limits,i suck at making SHPs. (not good at VXLs either but..) I am not requesting anyone to do whole new building art for me,but advice/info/hints etc. would be nice. (I have looked at several resource sites though,but seems that i am doomed to use Allied pre-release structure art etc. :) )

Nicely done, this side seems to be built well so far. I think very thin purple or dark green lasers would look good for the Void tank's weapon. For building art I would look at the free source mod "Enemy At the Gates", theres a really old topic about it which can be found searching it's title in the Ra2 Editing section. Basically the buildings used by NEXUS in RS 1.99, but they are the best freely available that I know of.

We were wondering if PHANTOM even has any airforce and hoping that not.We were horrified when we saw these huge spaceships roaming over battlefields.We overheard some soldiers referring them as "Marduk Battlecruisers".It seems that spherical thing at top of ship is somekind of AA laser weapon.Though we are unaware if it has any other weapons mounted on it.Though,those two things at both sides of ship looks little like missile launchers :thumbsupsmiley: . (if we speak truth i havent yet decided what to use as primary weapon,probably some kind of missile or plasma weapon.)

Also here is PHANTOM skirmish loadscreen,if someone wants to see ^^.

No big progress with mod but...

First i would like to hear your opinion.I tried to improve Genesis Tank voxel,but not sure if it even became better looking.

Ignore that remap error at cannons,ill fixed it after i took all these screens.


Also couple of crappy combat screenies.

Savant in sight!

PHANTOM infantry squad detected.We spot Savant walking in their ranks.We dont have any data regarding two other soldier types, but another of them is probably their basic military soldier.Not too huge threat on us.

Armor batallion rolling in!

Situation is getting hotter. PHANTOM armor batallion is rolling over here! We are going to fall soon as our defence line doesnt stand up against such overpower.

PHANTOM Air bombardment.

Seems that ground overpower is not enough for unknown commander of these troops. We are getting crushed by those huge spaceships and smaller and faster bomber-like ones.


Also,again if someone knows where i could DL that freeware Enemy at the Gates mod, or have any other tips regarding buildings (or sounds ;) ) i appreciate them :xcahik_: .

What buildings are you going to add?
If you have 3d skills you could take your time to learn 3d and make some buildings ;)
