Jeez those cyber..ers.. Need to stop making their keyboards sticky and really acutally go out and meet some friends.

Posted Image <- You know the creators had boners while doing this, and they had to be males.

I have to agree.

Personally I'd like to see the females with more clothes on instead of being dressed up like sluts :p .

Haha, this makes me laugh all the time.

Apparently it's the logic of video game females, "the lesser clothing she wears the more she is protected".

-100 points for realism and common sense eh, because skimpy clothing is really suitable when you're footslogging it in the icy mountains. The makers of those characters will try to come up with some lame ass excuse like for say the Warhammer Dark Elves, "they're whackos and they've been training for centuries to work without armour!11", really it's only to increase sales and make them look slutty.

I'm just happy for the T and A really. I have no issue with comic book drawings of women in skimpy clothing. Call me hetro but hey I'm human and a man.

Yeah, only that it's not asked for when playing a game. The only possible effect is distraction, not a big plus if you ask me. I'm not buying a porn game after all.

I do have an issue with it. I could rant about this for hours and I think it's disgusting and wrong. I want to play a game, usually the men have "normal" armour (which covers the vital parts), why can't women have that too :p. Game developers make men look like "all they do is walk after their penis" and women as "oh look at me, exploit me, use my body". I find it sickening. Yes it happens in society too and I am against that as well. Well, as said. I could rant about this for a long time. But I won't. It's good to see though that there are more people against this sort of thing.

Here's two examples of what I find a lot more plausible / acceptable battle armour.

I dunno if anyone has played Mortal Kombat Armegeddon BUT I SWEAR TO GOD THERE IS A LEVEL WHERE YOU FIGHT ALL GIRLS!!...I couldnt win...I just stood there and was "wtf? There are 10 yr olds who play this shit."...But hey atleast the pic that Blaat posted of a girl is really cool. At that point you wont eye hump the character and will focus on making her bleed and then rip her boobies off and throw them down a well.

Sisters of Battle are cool because they have armour

Thats the kinda warrior women id like to see...

I was hoping for you to post here Blaat  .

Personally woman in games need more protection in combat, how is dressing up in skimpy clothes and wearing zero armor going to keep you alive on the field of battle?

hehe, tbh I only ever see that sort of dress code in rpgs, platformers, or fighting games. in fighting games it's quite understandable, the lighter your armor, the more movement you have, and thats a massive advantage, platformers though, and rpgs that have that sort of graphics are usually some fucked up mesh of cartoony but adult style, which bores me stupid.

I don't think I've ever seen a character like that in an fps, and I've only seen characters like that in one rts/t (warcraft3, the night elves). in short, if you don't like/not into that sort of stuff (like me), then don't play the 10-20% of games that feature that sort of armor. if your an rpg nut, go for guild wars, or mass effect or something. if your a platformer then umm, well I'm afraid theres not much hope for you... I'll lend you my shotgun (jk, there are plenty of platformers out there which are cool, just not many designed for people over the age of 12) and if your into fighting games well 90% of the moves in them are so crazy that if your complaining about the clothes then I think you have more then one screw loose.

RPGs, actually, have a mixed point on scantily-clad female characters.

Let's look through a few major ones. Of any made by Square-Enix, yes the females are usually hot looking but usually are fully clothed. Exception being Yuna, Paine and Rikku on FFX-2. Which, ironically, was marketed, aimed and targeted at female players.

In fact, the only major RPGs I can think of where your characters are scantily clad are Guild Wars, WoW (well pretty much any MMORPG), Vampire: Bloodlines and Oblivion if you download the relevant custom content.

Fighters and shooters, yeah there's usually a weird lack of body protection. But as said, sex sells. Bloodrayne, anyone? Or Tomb Raider? Shite games, sold by the bucket for one reason..

Blaat, the "soldier" in that picture looks no more than 14 years old...

Personally, I couldnt care less how women in games look. It is a minor part of the gaming experience. If the game play is good, and the other factors are good, she can be wrapped up so no skin is shown or in her birthday suit for all I care.

Thier just pixels...

It wasn't Tenshi, it was Hakuoro, sorry XD. I could swear it was from Tenshi. It doesn't say, it's from a Fire Emblem game but I don't know anything about them. I can PM Hakuoro if you want though.

Another semi-good example of women wearing armor is Samus... Metroid FTW!

If a kid under the required age somehow got his or her hands on a game like Mortal Kombat, then it's the parents fault that there kid/kids has it :) .

hmm only scantly glad people I remember from guild wars was the ritualist and possibly the necro, and the elementalist. the ritualist is basically a dancer, and any armor she'd have would be magical in nature. the same could be said for the necro and the elementalist though neither are dancers. preistess', rangers, assasins and warriers where pretty well armored iirc(http://wiki.guildwar...0px-Mesmers.jpg) , and the illusionest (or whatever her proper name was) was often wearing full coverin iirc, though there was some pretty flattering outfits you could get for them aswell, still, the 3 professions where physical protection is needed had full body covering

"Magic" is just a way to apply phlebotinum/handwavium to things, as long as "magic" exists, Bikinis can still function as godly armour.

no I mean as in a defence against magic, rather then physical damage, for instance the one on a poster I got with the game has a long skirt, a bra like thing and a blinding headpeice. and is covered in beads and tats, she looks pretty much exactly as one would expect a dancer to look like in that era.

meh... all I'm saying is that people in guldwars don't look like they've simply been given nothing to wear for the purpose of giving men who play it woodies.
