GENERALS MOD V2.5 Now Released (FINAL VERSION)

NEW in V2.5:

Super weapons: Big Bertha Artillery, H-Bomb Strike, MOAB Strike, Nuke Bomber Strike, Mothership Strike
Utility "Super Weapons": Tank Reinforcements, Instant Repair, Cloak

New custom skins for: Big Bertha Artillery, Juggernaut tank, Juggernaut Artillery, Mobile Nuclear Cannon

New weapon sounds and voices (new voices ripped from C&C Generals and C&C 3)

Custom animation for main menu background.



This is a mod that I've been working on and off in my spare time for the past 2 years. It requires the expansion Yuri's Revenge patched to version 1.001 or above and the latest version of NPatch. Although called the Generals Mod this mod does not set out to completely recreate C&C:Generals. I've called it this way because it borrows the idea of specialized factions from Generals: Zero Hour.
So now all the countries present in Yuri's revenge specialize in a certain area:

USA - Air Force
Great Britain - Lasers & Stealth
Germany - Tanks
France - defensive Buildings
Korea - Infantry

Russia - Tesla
Lybia - Nuclear Weapons
Iraq - Chemical Weapons
Cuba - Incendiary Weapons

This mod also adds a few new game mods like:

double damage - self explanatory

low tech - no battle labs, no advanced units and structures, everyone has spy satellites and oil derricks

no super - no super units, buildings and hero infantry

nuke mania - nuke silos and nuclear based weapons are available to all factions

While developing this mod I've also wanted to make the action more spectacular. So you'll see tons of debries flying all over the place. In the heat of battle fires and smoke columns will appear.


A description of some of the new units:

Abrams Tank: Allied main battle tank. Replaces the Grizzly Tank.
Can take 2 passengers that can shoot out.
Weapons:light cannon, AA missiles.
Range: short-medium
Armor: medium

Paladin Tank: Allied tank destroyer.
Weapons: advanced anti tank cannon, anti personnel laser
Range: medium
Armor: heavy

Tomahawk Launcher: Range: long
Armor: light

Disruptor Tank: Weapon: Focused sound wave emitter
Range: long
Armor: heavy

Rail Tank: Weapon: Heavy RailGun
Range: medium
Armor: heavy

Juggernaut Tank: Allied Super Tank
Weapon: 2x Heavy HE Cannon
Range: medium
Armor: extreme

Devastator: Soviet heavy mech
weapon: 4x Mini Nuke Cannon
Range: medium
Armor: extreme

Firestorm Bomber: Cuban Carpet Bomber
Weapon: Napalm Bombs
Armor: medium

Dragon Tank: Weapon: FlameThrower
Range: short-medium
Armor: medium

Tripod: Yuri Tank Destroyer
Weapon: Heavy Particle Cannon
Range: medium
Armor: heavy

wow, thats looks cool, thats some great work

can't wait to learn more

is there a new storyline

what are the new units?

can we get some screen shots (you tube isn't exactly great quality video)

and where have you been, did you do that or yourself?

and let me get this straight, doesnt use N patch?

Well, no. I made this mode with only skirmish and multiplayer in mind

what are the new units?

Sure. I'll make a gallery section here as soon as possible.

Well, yes I did all the coding and original content. However, there are some resorces that are made by other authors, that's all straightened out in the credits section in the info file that comes with the mod.

Not yet. The version that is now up for download doesn't use Npatch. I am working on implementing Npatch features

hey, i have a question

since this doesn't use n patch, does it overwrite my old yuri's revenge(so i cant play normal YR anymore)?

Well it uses the XCC Mod launcher so you can turn it off and play the normal Yuri's revenge if you want.

somthing along the lines of is you copy of YR original, or an illegal copy?

yeah, lots of the main words were about the same, so it wasn't to hard to guess :crazed:

This thing has a few bugs! If i put a yuri clone in a building it will crash and sometimes the guardian gi and flak trooper do not fire anymore.

if your meaning why a guardian GI and a flak trooper garrisoned won't fire it means that if they're mixed up with ground units the logic makes only ground troops fire if it were all flak troopers or GGIs then its works
