Have you ever noticed that most people, just can't seem to make a decent city? After try, after try, I just never seem to see a good one.

For, Twisted Insurrection, I plan to make a city, that covers the entire map, or at least 80% of it. So far, so good. But I just want an opinion here. What do you think?




Paved road bit's have been fixed, and so have the car directions, before you point that out.

I see what you mean, but it's not the case in this map. Being as it's a campaign mission, the objective is to defend the town from Nod attackers (Pretty basic mission idea, but it helps lead up to more eventful missions, etc). There is not really a large ammount of repeated buildings, or Terrain. Thanks to Gangsters TX, I was able to make the repetition of buildings a big No-No. Anyway, I'll show you some more screenshots as time goes on.

Thanks for the comments by the way, anyone have any suggestions on improvement (from what you can see so far).

Nice! One thing I really love about TS is how the terrain can really wrap around itself. It's really dense and fills in all the gaps likes it is truely mutating.

Although it is nice, your more likely to get most constructive feedback and appreciation on PPM simply as they tend to focus more on TS modding whilst Revora is geared more towards RA2/YR modding.

Not exactly what I had in mind, being as It's a single-player mission. However, what I may do is add some Mutant Soldiers on the map, to assist the player during the mission... This is a big maybe.

and they could have some gdi units with them(like a titan, or some disk throwers, ect)

It'll be a few units protecting the city. The map is now complete, and i'm thinking it's came out alot better than I even hoped for. Would anyone like to test it for me?

AS a fellow map maker I'd say it looks awesome and must have took some time to make...
The buildings and terrain in TS far more better than RA2 or YR almost as if its been more cartoonised lol...
making good cities in YR can be difficult if you don't have patience.... (which I should say is key to anything these days).

It looks really detailed,the idea is quite original(which I like) and I always loved Defending maps.

Offt:Indeed,TS/FS buildings are way more detailed,thats why i prefer TS over RA2YR,due to the fact,it looks pretty...lame...

Thanks. Comments like that always put a smile on my face. Anyway, I've been mapping for different CnC-Games over about 7 years. Mapping has always been my favorite form of modding as I believe that the ground you fight upon does make a difference in game-play, it just looks better (This is pretty obvious really). For Tiberian Sun, I've been mapping it for about 5-6 years, but because I was not really a fast learner back then, I progressed slowly. Remember, you can only get better, and you can get better by learning from your mistakes. Share your maps with us and I'll give you some tips, I'm sure some other members may do the same... Right?

well,what requirements does the map needs to play? something like a mod or terrain update?
since that building on that ramp,i never saw it before
