I started moding a mirkwood archer into a hero and i managed to do it on my own but i don't know why this unit starts with exp lvl 0 and doesn't grow.How do i fix this?

in explevel.ini you need to add your hero name in any main hero , what i mean examble Thranduil exp level there is a line called Target names just add your hero name next to ElvenThranduil from lvl 1 to 10 thats all.

but that would mean moding the game , and then this will work only on my pc.Am i wrong? I wanna do a map so i can post it on the net and anytbody can play it.

well it would also need to be in a .big and it would be a waste of time to make a mod with one hero for a single map

You can't edit experience levels for map.ini... Unless you want to overwrite another hero who already has Exp. Levels.

As fin said-you should make the hero using an object, prefably already a hero, like one of the unused archer objects, then when you override that-it should have its own experience level. Its hard for me to tell you what to override because i dont know the map and the objects already used.

well then help me make a new hero from an allready existing one.....just ..let's do it! :) I am verry noob in map.ini so even if u explain to me how to be done it will be verry hard for me to do it...
Can i modify an existing hero like....gamling and change his body so it will look like a mirkwood archer?How can i do that?
PS:I am now working on simple map in witch i added day/night , and u can only attack the enamy during the night!:) cool ha? Oh...and i will need some help there too cause i wanna modify all the heroes.I wanna change their Hp and give leadership to all of them

Instead of just having a mirkwood archer why not make a elven archer from the cah in map.ini like:

And that way he stands out as a hero and you can change his skin, and the objects he wears and weapons etc.

Well can you please elaborate on how to do this or at least pointing me twords a map that dose this so I can read its .ini file?
