Do you have any other mods, or the 2.02 unofficial patch?

Do you have the 2.01 official patch?

@helldemons you can extract the mod to the c:/ drive and if you made the other changes, it should work. adversely, you should also be able to extract it to the e:/ drive and just make sure that the shortcut target line says "-mod e:/rj-rotwk" rather than "-mod c:/rj-rotwk"

I don't know how to open the mod - all that happens is that the ordinary game loads up. Each time I change the case on the shortcut target it changes itself back. The mod has been set to open with Rise of the Witch King (non mod). What do I do?

Woah...the target changes itself back? Are you sure you hit ok after you made the change instead of just x-ing out or hitting close?

with the amount of new things we have thrown in and the new, prettier skins and whatnot it is perfectly normal for it to run a bit slower than it did previously (or lag).

Can the files located in RJ_RotWK\data\ini\ be modified or there edition would just crash the game ?

Little help here. My computer died so I moved all my files to an external HD. I put the previous Electronic Arts folder that had all my BME2 and ROTWK folders on the new comp. I also placed the mod in the right place on C:\. The mod plays but now it goes for about 5 min then everyone dies spontaneously. :( I'm not sure where my disks are for the game so reinstalling may be a problem. Anyone have any brilliant ideas? Thanks in advance.

P.S. My thoughts and prayers are with Rob and family.

Might be EA's anti-piracy thing. You might want to just try reinstalling stuff. See whether the vanilla game runs okay or not first.

I am new to this mod, but I can't get this mod to run. I have version 1.02 installed, but when I try to pick a civ in the skirmish menu, none of the new ones show up. Please help me with this, because it looks like an awesome mod! Thanks

Edit: Okay I got it to work, thanks for the help!

It looks like it is trying to access BFME2 stuff instead of RotWK for some reason. Also, I only will support legit copies of the game. While I think RotWK is not a stellar expansion pack by any means, there is some functionality to the expansion pack that is absolutely vital to aspects of RJ-RotWK. To be honest, I don't think I've played that much non-modded RotWK since I bought it, though I play a LOT of BFME2 1.06 MP matches.

(One of the reasons I am modding RotWK instead of BFME2, is the fact that units created in RTS mode of WotR hang around for after the battle. The non-linear campaign cannot be done without this.)

Are you saying that this mod wouldn't work if i have the Anthology

Greetings.
I have installed the mod into my \C: drive.Here's the path:C:\RJ_RotWK. I have put the RJ_RotWK.ink file from WinRar to this folder(C:\RJ_RotWK). I double click, seemed to work fine, but then when it goes full screen I get a game.dar error(game.dat has encountered a problem and needs to close :lol: )
-I am using the 2.01 patch;
-My RotWK game is istalled here:C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king and it works fine;
Please reply, thank you :wink_new:
