its something or other so that basically we all upload bits when we do them which would be good so skinners can gradually work through all the basic crappy skins i make
and in this case you can easily upload music - and then everyone can download the latest thing as one....that probably made no sense > read from the link (Y)
- butt really need to know then who iss commited to the team and who isss gonna be doing work

(thats merging all kind and good (imo) ideas into one post for convenience =D)

Hmmm gillyweed...Mayybe have that as an upgrade which makes units able to walk through/under water?

I'd say have the Merpeople be neutral units, and give Dumbledore/Hagrid an "Untamed Allegience" Power(s) that works on most, if not all, neutral enemies.
As for water units, all I can think of ATM is the Giant Squid for Hogwarts, and Inferi for the Dark Wizards.

I'd say have the Merpeople be neutral units, and give Dumbledore/Hagrid an "Untamed Allegience" Power(s) that works on most, if not all, neutral enemies.

i actually think merpeople should stick with hogwarts, because they helped out hogwarts by assisting with the triwizard tournament, and dumbledore could speak to them > which isnt the kind of thing you learn to do just for a quick chat over the scores.

how about grindylows as creeps/neutrals?
then voldy's team can have inferi and durmstrang
hogwarts can have merpeople and squid

that should be pretty fair because the squid would beat any of them, but inferi are more powerful than merpeople and can walk on land too?

and i think both teams need 1 transport kind of thing, something with magical oares would be good methinks

Well i can make some stuff for this if i get time andmake some powers if lacross tells me what to do when i have my comp back. I think maybe you could think of some units that can be used that arent neccesarily just wizards-also dobby and the house elves could be used in some way as they were powerful

erm i don't think so because automic wiener used it in his rise of rome mod (gladiator soundtrack and actual mp3's from the rise of rome mod itself)

yes house elves will be included but i think they're best staying as summonable powers with a timeline as they would be tooo powerful as normal units =)

I think maybe you could think of some units that can be used that arent neccesarily just wizards


we have lots of magical creatures - still waiting for lacrosso to ammend and copy over onto first topic my revised version of tech tree
- but still that one shows dementors, inferi, blast ended skrewts, plants like mandrakes, dragons, trolls etc...

Well i can make some stuff for this if i get time andmake some powers if lacross tells me what to do when i have my comp back.

working during week so only really have time to check forums XD

Actually, I'd rather have a 'Summon Foreign Allies' power for Hogwarts, which would include (or be) the Durmstrang ship, as just their Headmaster was corrupt, not the school (or in this case faction) itself.
And I was actually thinking of having either Voldemort or a special unit under him having the power as well, hehe.
I'd say Grindylows could work, so long as they attack in a massive swarm.
Transports...perhaps the self-rowing boats for Hogwarts, and the odd 'flying curse' that Voldemort and Co. use in TDH (as an upgrade?)? This would lower their aquatic combat potential, of course, but could itself be a very powerful bonus.
Finally, The Snitch. I believe you mentioned it earlier in the Thread. Maybe this could be the one containing the final piece to the Deathly Hallows (can't remember if that's right) the "broken ring" left to Harry from Dumbledore in his first captured Snitch...sorry if that ruined the book to anyone xD
Anyway, maybe that could allow the team that captured it to recruit some special heroes?

emmm i see what you meannn butt durmstrang was known for an abnormal focus on the dark arts, and yes they might not be a school for death eaters - they ARE under the control of the head master who wasnt really very 'good' its just he snitched on his old allies to get out of trouble.....

Self rowing boats yess - but i'd say for both factions because even voldy had one in his cave for the horcrux.
- Plusss yes voldemort will have a spell to fly, but normal units wont, and that appeared to me in the book to be some strong magic, not everyday spells any unit can be upgraded with, so if units neeeed to cross water they do need a transport ship (again not all units can apparate either)

Latest idea to replace ring function is to replace with an elder wand which makes that unit holding it immensely more powerful. HOWEVER all i say here is not set in stone, especially this idea is still being thrown around.
I was thinking about that and thought about how the stone brings people back from dead so we couldnt do that
- but your way of it enabling recruitment of special heroes would work.
- - only thing then is that sirius is already a hero and we'd have to make up our own ideas on James and Lily's spells..... and even so in the book they only appear as ghosts, not physical forms.....
- and Voldemort hated that grindewald or so and so so i doubt he'd want his help =D - his a threat to him plus he wouldnt tell him where the elder wand is anddd he made voldemort angry by saying there are things worse than death =)

and no I am going to make the forrbiden map (I already have a concept in my head and a mission) and it WILL be a mission as i have a really good concept and i will also make a select view random missions in no real order to spice the mod up it wont really be a campain and the will mostly all be hero missions besides hogwarts :)

I'd say leave Privet Drive out..not that important really, as anything relevant to the mod that did occur there happened in the airspace above and around it lol...

for userbars u just right click it and then go to properties tehn copy the adress at the bottom and put the [IMG] things round it once you've pasted it in your sig thing
