Topic renamed.

Since Ive lost the version posted in here Ive started over on Bree, still using EA's version as a start though heavily modified. Ive also retained EA's version and renamed it as "Combe" a sister village in the surrounding areas of Bree.

Im stilling looking through various objects, trying to find things that are appropriate is somewhat difficult. Bree uses a large hedge in combination with fencing and a dike (moat). When watching FOTR clearly the western gate doesnt have a moat or a hedge, it appears to be a wall. so hopefully I can find some kind of compromise.

Edit: heres a shot of something Im trying let me know what ya think.

Minas Tirith is finished for my part, RJ is fixing all the geometry issues, and well after that it will be hopefully in beta V. I and TBG (The Best Guest) have been working on little conversions and other small map projects. for instance we have Lake-town, a 2 player skirmish map converted from the BFME2 good campaign, that he converted and did the principal editing on, I polished it off a bit added gollum and creeps. Another one he is working on is The Blue Mountains from the good campaign, looks very promising were still trying to iron out the details on it but so far :p hopefully provided these maps arent too small: Amon Hen, and Cirith Ungol might be converted over from BMFE and used for skirmish. that kinda cover all the things going on in the mapping world.

And something Else im messing with:

Does anyone else have trouble when manually typing in the angle for an object in WB? Everytime I do I get random numbers, it make it rather difficult to get these things lined up.

If you put a number in the Angle it will add this degrees to the old one.

So If the angle is 45 and you write 90 the angle will be 135.
Look at the tool bseide the questionmark.
Click it and this will be changed (perhaps you will have to click two times, there are 3 different modes for angles)

There are three different modes. The green one changes the angle to whatever you put. The red one adds to the existing angle. I dont know what the third one does.

And why don't you put everything in at the default angle, so it's easier to line up, then rotate everything at once if you need to (using the red rotate mode I think).

I think if you use the third mode all selected objects don't rotate as a group, but every object rotate for itself

Thanks for the WB tips ill be checking it out soon.

Dragonlord If I were to give you the new Minas Tirith map it wouldnt be any fun because it is literally full of annoying geometry bugs. becaue of these bugs the main gate doesnt even stop units from entering the city. just be patient.

Almost a year later, but I want to say that this is just awesome. It's so beautiful !
The race of Men is failing, the blood of Númenor is all but spent – its pride and dignity forgotten… It is because of Men the Ring survives.
