As the title implies, I've got myself an Xbox. With it I've ordered COD 4 and The Orange Box, and I am getting Halo 3 for free from a friend.
However, I have a little spare cash burning a hole in my pocket, and would like the advice of all the 1337 gamers here on Revora for advice on which games to buy.
Games I Have: COD 4
Halo 3
The Orange Box

Games I am considering buying: Oblivion(the elder scrolls or whatnot)
Dead Rising
COD 2

Dead Rising is fun, but I hear the difficulty level skyrockets at random times.

The walking around soon gets annoying in Dead Rising aswell.
It can't cost much now though cause it's fairly old, so it's probably worth the price just to mess around killing the zombies however you can.

Assuming you've an internet connection register for a silver Xbox Live account (the free one, or go for gold if you want to play online or whatever) and download the demos for anything you like the sound of.

Might i suggest Assassins Creed, very pretty and very good game imo.

Mind you i only have 6 games atm:

Halo 3
The Orange Box
Splinter Cell - Double Agent
Assassins Creed
Tomb Raider - Aniversary
Pefect Dark Zero

I was actually quite dissapointed with Perfect Dark Zero, All that hype over it and its nothing to rave about 0_o


One i plan on getting soon:

Bioshock
Mass Effect
GTA IV (When it comes out)

Dead Rising and Assassin's Creed are both really good games imo, well worth getting.

GEARS OF WAR!!! Get it now! It's the only reason I originally bought a 360. I'm still in love with it even after a year of playing.

And I think calling PD Zero disappointing is one of the biggest understatements ever

And I am going to get Xbox live, gold version.
I'm very excited about getting it, so much so, the first I thing I did this morning was check if the postman had come.

Well, I may get mass effect, but I don't like reading wordy stuff on consoles, and I am considering buying oblivion as my RPG, as I prefer Fantasy to Sci-Fi.
If I ever finish oblivion, or get bored of it (finish main storyline at least), I'll buy mass effect.
Also, speaking of parcels, a T-Shirt came from Thailand, The games came for the 360, but no 360 in sight! How long does it take to post the damn thing?

I wouldn't know, hence why i went to a shop to get it... Good Old Gamestation Best deal i found for an Xbox 360 Premium/Pro.

Btw which 360 you getting? Core, Arcade, Premium or Elite?

I got the 360 Halo edition with Halo 3 for Christmas, with a subscription to Gamesnflix (http://www.gameznfli...llo/default.htm), which allows me to look at games before I buy them (Much like Netflix but with games too). I highly recommend Assassin's Creed.

Btw, it came today, but only with COD, not orange box! :(
But COD is awesome, very fun!
However, still a few troubles connecting to xbox live through ethernet cable, will have to get wireless adaptor.

CoD is the shit online. I kid you not. At least, until the Frontlines MP demo comes out, I've heard... And, Mass Effect. All of you who don't have it. BUY. IT. NOW. If you played KotOR I and II for the original Xbox, you will love it.

I Still haven't got CoD. I want to try and sort out my Xbox live but i dunno how easy/hard it is to do >.<

If you can get the Xbox connected to a network easily then the account process is pretty simple.

Yeah, Bioware prefers to throw its players into their games with the 'sink or swim' mindset. However, when you play again, it's still fun, no really stupid tutorials to go through (I like the first mission, myself)

What problems are you having? I used to have a hell of a time to get it working, but now it's pretty easy to get going when I need to hook it back up.

Xbox live up and running 1 month free Gold account atm and i've been playing Halo 3 alot online. Just need to find the right time to actually face people from here 0_o your never online lol
