[Eldarion25]

Well, I'm representing the Inheritance Mod for ROTWK.

Relive the epic award-winning books as this mod propels you into a world of fantasy, war, & entertainment. The Inheritance Modification brings in new factions such as the Varden, the Empire, ruled by the evil dictator and mad man Galbatorix, Surda, the kingdom ruled by King Orrin, and the Elves of DuWeldenvarden. The Mod brings in new units, famous heroes from the books and new spell powers & buildings. It also includes new music, maps, and much more.

nah we done need permission theres quite a few eragon mods on moddb on different games. also the main forums is on a very big eragon fan network so probably he dont care lol.

right now lol my cd drive is broken so i can't do anything but my dads ordered a new one

I just finished Eragon (and immediately ordered Eldest ) and liked it very much. I have to say that an Inheritance mod is probably the easiest TC to make

People have different opinions on that, I disagree, but the fact remains that they both have elves, dwarves, men and orc-like creatures, so it's often a matter of moving some models around and editing them a bit (for the first version of the mod, that is). On top of that the kind of environments they take place in are nearly identical.

Jesus...it's not "rip-offed" of Star Wars, it's just obviously influenced by it.
And as for the LotR-connection...it's almost impossible to find a piece of modern fantasy that does not have something also seen in LotR..

Actually, in one interview, Christopher Paolini confessed that the plot was indeed originally based on the Star Wars plot, and if you look, you can see many similarities (that I won't say because it might give things away in the books to those who haven't read both yet ). However, I still find it to be a very good series. I've loved the series ever since I first read Eragon. Can't wait for the last 2 books! (And if you ddn't know, Paolini made it a Cycle instead of a Trilogy )
