This is a campaign I was originaly going to work on for RA2:YR, but I decided to change the game around.. I've been working on TS:RO, and The Project recently, and what me and Blade decided to do was merge YR : Twisted Insurrection and The Project together. So since there is not alot of news or updates on the Project, and I've done alot for TS:RO, I thought it'd be cool to make a new campaign.

I'm pretty sure alot of you are already aware of this mod and the progress it is making, as It's had announcements on other places, such as here, here and here. I've finaly decided to announce it on Revora, as It's probobly the most active forum that I'm aware of.

About the story: I've been posting little bits of it in the staff forum, asking the staff what they think, and judging from my responses so far, i'm going to be re-writing it again. I'll let you know for starters, that the story takes place, where the original TS story never existed, and the Firestorm story never existed. I'll post the storyine as soon as i'm happy with it.

One of the things In Twisted Insurrection that It takes pride in, Is the veterancy and elite status. Soon enough, there will be a massive variety of new abilities that can be gained by particular units. Here is a quote from the Veterancy topic on PPM.

As you may of noticed in regular Tiberian Sun and Firestorm, the Veteran and Elite abilities do VERY little, or even nothing in some cases. In Twisted Insurrection, this has changed. I've modified the .ini's so that every unit has special abilities, upgrades etc. every time they reach a new level of promotion. For example:

VeteranAbilities=
EliteAbilities=CRUSHER

That was the older code. The newer code consists of something like this:

VeteranAbilities=STRONGER,FIRE_POWER etc.
EliteAbilities=SELF_HEALING,STRONGER,FIRE_POWER,CRUSHER,SENSORS,FASTER etc.

It's nothing major, but i just thought i'd let y'all know about it.
Also! Below, you'll see a picture of the upgrade stages. Simmilar to RA2's Veteran and Elite symbols.

I'll post more about this as time goes on, It'd be easier If I had a forum to do it though, ad most of the pictures are all related to completely different things in Twisted Insurrection.

It's small but I love the veteran symbols. The more advanced veteran & elites will be a change. I myself sometimes don't even give units elite weapons... ZOMG veteran symbol.

Yeah, the veterancy and elite status will actually make more of a change than you think. Even I was surprised when I discovered the change it could make, the game just seems more... fun.

Some of the new units In, TS:TI:




Viper (Cost : 750) : The Viper is a light armoured robotic unit. With it's high speed and it's ability to heal in tiberium, it makes up for it's lack of armour. These units where inspired to be created by the brotherhood, due-to their investigation in the previous wars. The results where, that the robotic units appeared to be the most effective assault units in the Nod arsenal. The Viper is used by the Brotherhood, as a "Hit and Run" unit...

Toxin Carrier (Cost : NA) : Since regular convoy trucks where declared un-safe for transporting toxic / hazardous materials, the Brotherhood had no choice but to come up with a cheap solution. The Toxin Carrier has four large hoppers on it's back, which have been strongly reinforced for protection. The hoppers where designed to store even the most dangerous materials without any fear of the materials coming loose, causing any damage the vehicle or it's passengers. If this truck where to be destroyed however, the pressurized material that they carry will combust, causing severe damage to anything in short range of the vehicle.
(This unit is not buildable in game)

Kazuar (Cost:600): The Kazuar was designed to keep civilian towns / cities safe. The Kazuar is equipped with a rapid vulcan cannon, which is effective against both light vehicles and most infantry. It's quck mobility and decent armour makes up for the Kazuar's weapon, which is not Anti-Air, or effective against heavy units. With it's weapon leaving anything around it's target un-damaged after heavy fire, It's the perfect unit to have protecting an allies base, or guarding a specific structure from enemy assaults.

(Aro: The cameo does look alot better than that In game.)

1) Thank you.

2) It's nowhere near completion. I've already been putting a tremendous ammount of work into this mod, so I assure you I wont be gving up on it any time soon. But if you would like a percentage on It's completion as of late, I'd have to say about... 5%.

3) Ickus is implementing something that I'm going to reveal much later on in it's development to Twisted Insurrection. We're not revealing it, in order to keep it a secret. Lets just say it's a bonus.

I'd love to ask for hosting, but from what I've seen, there are not alot of people interested In TS... Anyway AG, I Can assure you this mod WILL be finished and released. Maybe not this year, maybe not even next year, but I can assure you, I WILL finish it.

Coastal Gun Battery:

The Global Defense Initiative has warned all civilians to keep watch of their shores and beaches. Strange naval activity has been detected throughout the world, the GDI assume that Nod is to blame. The Civilians have produced a small, efficient and effective weapon to build along their shores in order to protect their homes from Naval based attacks. The Gun battery is not very powerful, due-to their lack of resources and military-power, however, when built along-side one and other, the Coastal Gun Batteries can do a large amount of damage to passing ships and submarines.

Capturable Gun Turrets:

The Global Defense Initiative has warned all civilians to keep watch of their cities. Not only Naval based attacks have been occurring, but many vehicles designed for combat, built by an unknown faction (presumably Nod) have been appearing in cities with the largest amount of water and food supplies and the highest power source, etc. These gun turrets where designed to make short work of ground units. The color scheme is for camouflage effects in the mountains.

These Gun Turrets are:

1) Capturable
2) Long Range
3) Located on mountains and in Cities.
4) Manned
