Alright, so what I was thinking is a sub RPG here within WoW that would basically be outside of the WoW universe without requiring extra RP space. Basically:

It's a starship, each player would have a role, helmsman, engineer, weapons officer, etc. I would assume the role of Starship Captain, and we'd parade (not really) around the galaxy defeating enemies such as the Borg, Romulans, Klingons, etc.

What do you guys think?

Well, it's set in the star-trek universe. I suppose we Could discover a new faction (DOMAIN LOL j/k) that would render hostility towards the Federation.

I've never watched star trek(well ok, I've seen a few episodes)
but i think we could come up with way better idea's, making it more original, and most likely appeal to more people (people like me who aren't that thrilled about fighting klingons in the starship enterprise, but would like to go around fighting enemies that we make up, in a ship that we make up)


maybe we could have a vote to see weather we should go with start trek, or our own made up thing

i like having freedom to make up our own stuff, that's why i am not fond of RP's that re-enact movies, ect


so how about it? leave to a vote, and if everyone votes star trek, then i'll accept that, but if not, then we make up our own [maybe using the worlds of war as a base, as you said we could have domain, maybe exploring where domain originated from?(just chucking idea's out there)]

Well, seeing as how I know about as much about Star-Trek as I do how they make slow motion movies (next to nothing), I'd have to say I'm out.

If we put it up as a different universe and didn't say klingon and whatnot, I'd probably be ok. But startrek just leaves me at WTF?! most of the time.

It's not that hard. You know how you have a commander who controlls the ship? It'd be similar to that. Each player has one character, the captain is the commander of the ship, the engineers keep the ship running, I introduce problems and whatnot. It's simple really, if I say target X ship and Fire, that's what ya do. It doesn't have to be in the Star-Trek universe, but it's preferable that it's still an Earth Vessel, and I'd prefer the Soveriegn class Federation starship:

ok, i have a few idea's


1. we could go and make some sort of parody RP, with all sorts of things from all sorts of sci fi's
(so the star trek ship, and in its hanger it can have the millennium falcon, and other ships from other sci fi movies/tv series.
and wookies in the control room, for example and other races from other sci fi)

2. we have multiple ships, all those wanting to go on the star trek

3. get rid of star trek, and just have our own made up one

cause im not that big on the whole star trek thing either

but as i said, we could have a vote
