**History and Creation**

Once there was a race, who, when faced with their destruction by a rivaling race, fled their home world. But they found that their enemies wouldn't stop until they found them, and destroyed them all. So they used their technology to flee to a different dimension, where they believed they enemies would never find them.

They lived in peace for a while, but their rivals found remnants of their technology back on they home worlds, and used it to find them again, where they began to eradicate them once more. their only chance was to fool their enemies into think they had destroyed them all.

They had just created a new technology, a vast AI, that could store all their knowledge, and use their DNA to clone them back to life. its name was K.R.O.N.O.S.

So they all incorporated themselves into the system, then went out, to make their last stand against the enemy, where all of them where destroyed, the Kaltesians where no more.

After a while, the rivals left, back to their dimension, satisfied that they had killed all of the Kaltesians. At this time KRONOS fully activated, the clones where already developing, and the civilization was back on its way to its former glory...

But KRONOS intervened, with all the knowledge of the Kaltesian race now at its disposal, it found that it could create projections of the most effective coarse of action much better, and deemed that cloning the Kaltesians back to life was unnecessary, as in they pre-integrated state, they were riddled with imperfections. It immediately terminated the cloning processes, and used its new knowledge to upgrade its own system, and remove most of the flaws its creators had unknowingly created.

It then began expanding, firstly by creating drones, which could reform into many shaped, thus able to perform many functions. It spread, gaining more knowledge, and perfecting its trans-dimensional technologies.

For it's new objective, was to eliminate the threat of the destroyers, from the home world.

After expanding over about half of gamma quadrant, it began to see a negative effects of its expansion, many of the more primitive/violent civilizations seemed to be under the delusion that KRONOS was a threat to them, and began hostilities, KRONOS saw that to engage them, would be costly, and not efficient, as should they present themselves to have usefully knowledge/technologies, those would be destroyed.

So to prevent the civilizations from going into a fanatic form of xenophobia, it decided that it would Hide, till such a time that the societies had sufficient intelligence levels, as to assess its expansion logically, where they would surely see that this was not a threat to their people, and assist in this enlightened expansion, and existence. and if not, buy the time it reawakens it would have sufficient resources to crush any who would oppose.


So most of the drones disassembled, and the vast expansion of KRONOS stopped.
during these eons, many civilizations rose, and even fell. and KRONOS moved silently in the background, no-one even knew of its existence, its reign long forgotten.

But now KRONOS has been alerted to a threat, a threat which could very well destroy this new harvesting ground, and all the technology and knowledge, would be lost.

So KRONOS has reawaken, to stop this threat from destroying what it has waited so long to develop sufficiently....

err just thought i might clear up my factions 'style' a bit

he is not exactly like the replicators from stargate(or else it would be to much of a copy), the 'style' (or maybe architecture is a better word) is a cross between replicator like, and scrin(CnC3) like
