I've got a small problem , i would like to try some modelling , but when i download renx modelling tools and i run it it's different than the ones used in tutorials so i don't know what to do . Anybody has got that version used in tutorials or maybe this is my fault ?? Sorry for this topic in BFME modding but i didn't know where to put it.

just download gmax...im pretty sure thats what youre talking about..im pretty sure the tutorials dont all use renx.try gmax or 3dsmax

Some people use 3ds Max. A more industry standard and better known 3d modelling package. Only problem is you have to pay through the nose for it. As far as my knowledge entitles the BFME Mod SDK only works properly with version 7 of max. Does that help?

but in the 3rdage.net's articles they say to open up renx program but the interface is whole different

oh you opened up the level editor instead of the actual modelling prog.go to your program files and open up the right one and you should be good

there is renX.lnk file but it doesn't work

just try reinstalling it and see if that works

it refers to D drive (i dont even have it) to gmaxdev , and even when it is (gmax) installed on C drive there is no gmaxdev folder or file

oh , i think I solved it (not i , its just luck) i reinstalled it one more time and it works , sorry for making problems.
