Ive looked everywhere on the net and can't find a single thing on adding your own custom terrain to c&c3. Does anyone know how to do this????
Lol im sure its probably something very simple. But ive extracted all of there textures and noticed none of them are in folders, like dirt, grass ect. So my guess is theres some sort of txt file
needed to add them as well, Like in hl2's vtf's.
Thanx in advance

From what i remember, the type is contained in the code itself to identify what it is...
Save the environment, use green text

Do you know where I put my custom terrain?
all Im looking to do is add 1 grass terrain to my map without having to make a whole mod.
Do I need a .xml file to tell the program where to find it and to declare what type it is?
Wish I could just add it in the map folder with a txt document to declare its type and location :/
but im still a newb at this so it might be that easy
This is why I love Half-life 2 so simple

If you only want to add an object to a map I think you can do that with map.xml but there is no examples of how to do that in the SDK documentation. If Golan doesn't pop in here and give us the answer in 1 line like he always does you might want to try asking at DerelictStudios.

Yeah but that's a mod, which he doesn't want to do (hence why I didn't link to it) (not to mention I wrote that before the SDK was out so it is essentially a "brute force hack mod" of the game [I should rewrite it for proper SDK use]).
