How to extract different stuff (such as sounds, models and textures) from CnC3? Yes, I know how to unpack *.big files. But the most of those bigs contain such files as *.manifest, *.relo and heaps of *.cdata. Is there a way to convert this content into something else?

It my belief that you cannot extract them, you have to d/l the assets from EA, they have like 2-3 packs of them.

You need Bin Opener... which is hosted somewhere in this site.. (cnc3.net)

You can use jonwil's tools to extract textures, most sounds, and some models (it doesn't support anything with animations). You'll need to know the exact file names of the things you want to extract. For that get OSBigEditor 0.5 or 0.6 from Project Perfect Mod. If it isn't supported by jonwil's tools or it isn't included in the source art files released by EA then you're out of luck and can't get it without resorting to a program that intercepts the draw calls made by your graphics card. The refpak compression makes it impossible to browse the game's innards in their entirety.

Thanks. It worked. But I had to change the source code and recompile some extraction tools. But it worked! ^_^ Cool!

Did you have to change the source because of the language pack or possibly decimal system being used on your computer? Or do you mean to say you got it to work with animations?

---edit---

Oh good news. I was digging around The Internets, and you can use OS BIG 0.54 to extract the .version .manifest .bin and .imp files from the .big files of Tiberium Wars, then use Bin Opener to extract .w3dm models (or other files), then use w3dm2ase to convert w3dm meshes to ase files you "should" be able to import in to 3SMax (I can't find any importer and it isn't natively supported in Max 8 or 9), or get 3D Object Converter (costs money) which can convert w3dm into a whole bunch of other formats.

(I haven't tried the w3dm2ase program or 3D Object Converter myself)

1) It works with 1.5 patch only. I have 1.1 version. So, I removed patch-related pieces of code.
2) It crashes if it can't find the file defined by user. I fixed this bug.
3) Audio extraction tool works with globalstream.big only. I added the big with english voices. (I don't remember its name. It is something like "EnglishGlobal.big".)
4) I added automatic seek-&-extract algorythm. Now it seeks for filenames in XML code and extracts files automaticly. One click - over 200 files extracted. Cool

PS: I needed audio only. So, I changed dll and audio extraction tool.
