Has anyone else found any loopholes?

The biggest are in 8 I think:

1) How could using GFs make them forget such important things in their lives as going to the same orphanage? Also, what sort of coincidence could force them ALL to go to Gardens, and how could they not remember that they knew each other all that much? Seems a bit dubious...

2) You actually name Griever, the lion on Squall's pendant. Where the fuck does this play in (Ultimecia's GF was Griever)...?

3) Laguna is Squall's dad (even though Squall is an orphan). I know this because Kiros and Ward on the Ragnarok say about as much Ward: "It's a good thing you don't look too much like your father" Kiros: "You look very much like your mother". How else could they know Squall's father and mother? Also, Laguna probably recognises him also but why does he not let on? Another convenience to link the two sections of story, perhaps?

4) When Edea kills President Deling and sets the two gargoyle things onto the citizens, you'd think it would spark some sort of panic, but most of the civilians seem very sedate and don't care. Also, being in an alliance with a sorceress (this also applies to Esthar, who were under Sorceress Adel) would surely bring some fear, yet everyone seems happy as a clam... Similarly goes the Esthar Sorceress Memorial. You would want to FORGET the sorceres...

5) The Ragnarok is Esthar's space flagship used to move Adel's tomb, yes? Why leave it floating in space with 8 fucked-up annoying beasts on it? Would it not save Lunar Gate a job?

6) Norg. I don't even think I need to elaborate on this. I mean, no-one KNEW about the Garden Master, and no-one was TOLD? No, I don't buy that...

Any others anyone can think of?

err the gargoles bit is a bit dodgey but HELLO this is FFVIII they couldnt do stuff like emoticions realy in fast moving cut scenes i dont think

Yea, it dawned on me the second time I cleared it. Kiros and Ward give it away. Yet laguna doesn't...? Also, why does Laguna get to use GFs? 1) he is not a SeeD and most Galbadian soldiers don't get GF training, nor do they get access to extra GFs during said training. 2) He has no memory loss.

I know that's the story, the memory loss, yet it is a bit far-fetched to forget you know a group of people, and it's even more far-fetched for all of you to meet up again completely by chance.

It's not that they don't show emotion, it's that they're all so calm, don't try to run and is not difficult given the graphics they show anyway (they do have very good facial expressions). They could at least cower in fear..

Raggy; that's possible. But where are the other two dragon-ships, and also, how did the monsters get aboard?! And that soul break would probably destroy the monster first hit! I mean they ain't that hard to kill (so long as you kill both of the same color before you kill another)

I would say it's the Headmaster's duty to keep people informed, and if the pupils don't know, how do two factions break out and begin to fight each other...more to the point, what happens when that fight is over? Do a group of them get expelled or something?

the monsters could of got aboard from the luna cry, the other two raganaroks could of been decomissioned or dismantled because there perpose was forfilled after removing adel .

btw laguna doesnt mention having a son + squall and laguna meet up yet he still doesnt say anything

Squall's mother is Raine from Winhill! Don't you see?

When you meet President Laguna in Esthar, he explains that Raine died shortly after he left for Esthar (during his travels for Timber Maniacs). Since Esthar has a cloaking device, he goes there, beats Adel and never returns. During his absence, Raine has a son, and she dies. (IIRC, she may have died in childbirth). Hence Squall grows up in an orphanage and then joins SeeD, totally unaware of his father's existence in Esthar.

Laguna does mention Raine having a son (plus they get married: ending movie shows Laguna paying his respects at her grave). "...Raine died. I heard she had a son after I left, but who knows?" (or words to that effect. I know he mentions Raine). Also, does Laguna mention any other relationships?

My question was why Laguna didn't mention it. The fact he never wants to talk about Raine is also attributed to this.

Similarly, Julia is Rinoa's mother (Raine's description of events following Eyes on Me: "When her hero didn't return, she married some general in the Galbadian Army...") also, with Caraway being her father, you assume that's said General.

Is it just me or was Tifa so much better than Aeris in FF7. She was bloody good character.

She was better, definitely. Still, Aeris' Healing Wind (and her early-game magic proficiency) were useful (if taken over by Yuffie later on). Just her physical attacks sucked. Don't s'pose it matter cos she *SPOILER*Dies*SPOILER*.

And Az3r, don't worry. I've cleared that game inside out four times, getting every GF and exploring every corner of the planet, getting every card, etc. The only thing I can't do is recite its script (which is probably a good thing.)

Tifa Aeris and Cloud are an evil love triangle. I still try to figure out whether Cloud's relationship with Tifa is platonic or not, and whether he cares for Aeris in a more love sense than as an old childhood friend.

First off CJ 1st load of questions

1) Its a clone Sephy died in Nibelehm when he thrown in the reactor. However shinra came and took over the place and using gruesome experiments on Cloud & Zack (go to the it where sephiroth is studying books in Niblehelm mansion to see a flash back. Then hojo, got some sephiroth cells, jehovah cells and mako and injected it into the women Vincent loved (she behind a waterfall where you find his final weapon) Remember before you fight hojo, he says I've give you all the energy you need son!

2)WTF do those Tissues and the 1/35 soldiers do?
Tissues are useless but appatrantly once you got all the "soldiers" you could throw them at the enemy and shinra attack soldiers toys would blast the hell out of him.

3) It is set 500 years later The FF7: Advent Movie may help enlighten us... maybe holy was slow working?

4) Garnets real name is Rachel I think. Her mother was the women on the boat (1st FMV) and the dream sequences in Memmoria. How did you not get that :?

5) Rinoa is a soceress, its really cheesy but her love saves him, remember how the clouds disappear to the meadow, I think her thoughts transported you...

6) The exam is based on several factors, the fact you defeat a giant flying demon probably helped :oops: Your performance is a lot better then all the others. Tips for this: don't talk, don't job over cliff, fight loads and try to kill spider robot (it is possible)

7) It is set a few years after Sin was wiped out. Technology is being fully embaraced. Yuna is a heroine and probably seriously dislikes yu yevon (besides her aeons are gone) FFX-2 when its finally released in the west will reveal more. Now as for for what happens to everyone else......
1. Auron is dead (his spirit was finally released)
2. Wakka and Lulu are married they have a boy with ginger hair.
3. Kimhari probably returned to his tribe.
4. Rikku and Yuna are in there gang (they are related )
5. Now Tidus.. he has been trapped by some "evil force" your actions determine 3 endings : bad, normal and good.

1) GF's merge with your brain destroying memories. Selphie found a small GF in a monster. Irvine was the last to get a GF so he remembers more.

2) Its a little fun extra Also I think Ultmecia looks into Squalls mind to summon the ultimate GF

3) Yes indeed Laguna is his Squalls dad (his has Squall card) and his mom is Raine. Also as for Kiros and Ward they hanged around Windmill for a while for the marriage and stuff.

4) Well the civilians have probably been brainwashed or thinks its a hoax. As for memorial junk, they don't believe in killing its just a evil for a evil (kinda dumb but there is some crazy logic) besides her powers would be passed on leading to a more powerful, evil person

5) Thats obvious. When you get to the room left of the lift, the captain (on the pc thingy) tells you these awful beasts got abroad.

6) CID knew, he kept it secret, he use to have a contract with him...

Also the whole Aeris revivial thing was a HOAX from the start. It came from a disgrunted Squaresoft employee, he even admitted it :oops:

And finally (phew) can I just say Celes, Terra (FF6), Tifa (FF7), Rinoa (FF8), Dagger/Garnet/Rachel (FF9) and of course Yuna (FFX) are the greatest girls ever ^___^ Tifa slot was my favourite move of all time, go dolphins! Also I got tifa to be on the rollercoaster ride ^__^
