Hi Guys,

Here's a heads up on the Sonic Boom project, and of course, this thread is here for project discussion.

Here is a list of current staff members on the project and their respective roles. This will be kept up to date!

Luke Parkes-Haskell aka Ambershee
Project Manager, Programmer, Designer

Responsible for organisation of the project, as well as leading the technical aspects of the games programming, and working with the design team to ensure a solid, playable experience.

Currently overhauling current documentation, getting team communications up and running, and working on the basis for the player vehicles and game mode.

Ronald Van Delft aka Redemption
Programmer

Responsible for programming core logic systems.

Currently working on a check point system.

Syed-Ali Jafri aka Ali
Designer (Technical)

Responsible for the theoretical technical aspects of our racing vehicles.

Currently working on core engine and mechanical design of the vehicles in respect to the customisation system.

Mark Nicoll aka Nicoll
Concept / 3d Artist

Responsible for concept art work and constructing 3d versions of said concepts.

Currently working on concepting the vehicles for the game.

John Phan aka Darknet
3d Artist / Level Design - in training

Responsible for constructing 3d objects and constructing level layouts.

Currently working on a Blender UT3 export script and learning 3d / level editing for UT3.

Note that the staffing is set to change dramatically shortly. I'll be handing over reigns to project management to and old friend of mine, Chris Bailey, who previously managed Project Valkyrie. Along with that, he'll also be bringing in some extra hands in the art departments, meaning this project will properly take off.

We currently have Subversion access - if you do not currently have the details or access, or otherwise have any issues, PM me, and I'll forward them to you.

A Wiki is now in place to hold the project documentation. This will become available shortly and details will be e-mailed to all users.

We will later be using Mantis for error / bug / issue reporting. More details will later be e-mailed out when this becomes available in around a months time.

Finally, Skype will later become the primary means for real time communication between staff members. A weekly meeting will be required of all staff, at a set time every week. Therefore it is imperative that we discuss when we will be available.

I'm am currently suggesting 19:00 GMT on Sundays.

Thanks,

Luke
