Is your lotr.str at the right place ? It should be at data folder when using -mod command.

Where is the lotr.str file?

C:\em\lotr.str (incorrect)
or
C:\em\data\lotr.str (this is correct)

and your INI's should be in
C:\em\data\ini\

Because you haven't told us how you've set up your mod.

By the sounds of it, you have:

[Folder] em
............[Folder] data
........................[Folder] ini
....................................All your INI files
....................................lotr.str

when it should be:

[Folder] em
............[Folder] data
........................lotr.str
........................[Folder] ini
....................................All your INI files

Move the str file!

-mod bit:
Target:
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod "C:\em\"

oh i forgot to say that it is RotWK :D

I can't say I've had problems with this one myself.

All I've done is edit the lotr.str file that comes in the LANG file. For ease of use, I have the actual editable LOTR.str in the folder also, but then I simply add it to the finalBIG file of "English" and click "replace" to copy over the current .str in there. Save As (same name) and Bob's your Uncle Fanny's your Aunt :p

I'll chat with you on Msn if you need more help.
