How about TIE Scimitars, are those viable? I know they're primarily meant for ground.

Also what about these little known vehicles?

Scimitars are a good idea. But is the other one canon?

AT-PT (All-Terrain Personal Transport)

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/AT-PT

Posted Image

Anti-Infantry Walker, with concussion grenade launcher on bottom, good for light armored vehicles or groups of soldiers. Guns should have standard walker laser sound when firing, but be green unlike red lasers found on most imperial walkers.

Should be about as fast as the AT-AT (AT-ST's are actually faster).

AT-AR (All-Terrain Advance Raider)

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/AT-AR

Posted Image

Could be like a heavy AT-ST (it's taller), it's one blaster could be equal to one AT-AT heavy laser, possibly. Good as a walker-equivalent battle tank.

And here's something unique that could possibly be an upgrade to an AT-ST or supplementary...

All Terrain Scout Transport/Assault (AT-ST/As)

http://www.theforce....ers.html#atstas

Posted Image

Posted Image

It's two cannons could be like twin AT-AT' heavy lasers just in single double bursts rather than the multiple bursts of the AT-AT (to make sure nothing surpasses the AT-AT in firepower for now).

Taller than a standard AT-ST, possibly faster due to longer stride. More armor, and the cool AT-AT "visor" type window.

Let me voice my opinion in this :

While these are, indeed...Nice ideas, you have to take into account how hard some of them would be to make.

the AT-PT? Not so much...

AT-AR? A little harder, A Walker with Legs that tall and one of that type would have very odd Animations.

I don't see why the other one is needed..The AT-ST ingame has enough hardpoints to be turned into said Item..
(EWEB Hardpoint, Concussion Missle Hardpoint).

That's a horrible ref Photo by the way..

I would, though...like to see more Imperial Air Vehicles in this Mod :p.

Yeah I know the photos of the AT-ST/as are limited and bad...

And yes I do know how hard they would be to make, but if we get enough animators and dedicated personnel on it...we can do anything! </cliche>

This definitely needs to go in...

Century tank "TIE Crawler"

http://starwars.wiki...ki/Century_tank

The medium blaster cannons could be like those on the TIE Mauler but the Turbolaser could be just that...a turbolaser.

Could have relatively weak armor for it's size.

Heavy Assault Vehicle/repulsorlift A9 Floating Fortress

http://starwars.wiki...oating_Fortress

Posted Image

Length: 17.4 meters

It was a heavily armored repulsorlift craft armed with two top-mounted turreted heavy blaster cannons. These weapons were aided by two piercing targeting beams, which could lock on to a high number of targets in the vehicle's vicinity, using the TIN sensor-equipment.

Quite well-adapted to urban warfare, many felt it was better at suppressing urban uprisings than the AT-AT walker, and crews of both vehicles had a long-standing rivalry. While the AT-AT was supported by the Imperial Army, the Floating Fortress was backed by occupational commanders.

The narrow width of the HAVr A9 allowed it to cruise between buildings in even the most crowded city center. A curved box, the HAVr A9 ran 17.4 meters in length, required a pair of drivers and a pair of gunners, carried ten assault troops and one metric ton of cargo, and could hover up to two meters above a surface.

Just throwing things out there...

Not sure about these but I'd like to see these things replacing that clone wars fighter tank ripoff...

1-L Imperial-class repulsortank

http://starwars.wiki...ss_repulsortank

Posted Image

Medium Blaster good for taking out infantry. This could be faster than an AT-PT but with more terrain restrictions (minus water; would just have problems with hills perhaps), and the turret while not as powerful (single instead of the AT-PT's double), can rotate 360 degrees. In addition it has no grenade launcher. So they both wouldn't be the same. Would make a good scout and escort vehicle in comparison to the AT-PT which would be a dedicated frontal anti-infantry vehicle.

1-M Imperial-class repulsortank

http://starwars.wiki...ss_repulsortank

Posted Image

Well...has the same medium blaster as the previous vehicle...but has a repeating blaster too. I believe the repeating blaster should fire rapidly like a machine gun but then pause periodically to cool down.

1-H Imperial-class repulsortank

http://starwars.wiki...ss_repulsortank

Posted Image

This has three of the medium blasters that are good for clearing out infantry, in addition to a heavy laser much like that on the AT-AT...that looks like it could have a 360 degree spin.

And this thing: http://starwars.wiki...vy_Repulsortank

Possibly a predecessor to those three tanks, once a certain upgrade is purchase or level achieved it could be replaced, perhaps?

The Tie crawler is like the Tie mauler the only different thing is the size and the turbolaser, and imperals stopped using the AT PT but it could be used for the rebels. The other ideas are very good though.

Actually the imperials still periodically used the AT-PT's.

If you played any of the Rogue Squadron games you'd know that. They used them after the Battle of Hoth at least.

No where does it say when(if) the Empire stops using them; regardless they'd fit into the time frame of the game.

And the TIE Mauler should be replaced it's just...I really tend to dislike vehicles designed specifically for new Star Wars games (and appearing nowhere else)...oddly enough I like many of the tanks used in Force Commander for the rebels...which reminds me I need (or someone else) needs to make a separate thread for suggestions for rebel planetary units.

I think the Tie mauler should be replaced too it is useless and is to easy to destroy. I have played Rogue squadron 2 and I have not seen AT PTs but I will take your word for it.

Too useless? You're using them for the wrong situation, my friend.

The Century Tank would be pretty easy to make by the way..

AT-PT was used quite a bit actually..They were used more in GCW then they were in the Clone Wars.

Well to me the the only good thing about them was the self destruct but thats my opinion. I found out that I was wrong and AT PTs were used by the empire. The tie crawler would be a good upgrade to the mauler. Such as tie mauler to Tie mauler 2 to Tie crawler and so on.

I don't know if "upgrade" would be correct, as it would fill different roles, being anti-armor as well...I just would like to see the Mauler completely gone. The 1-L / 1-M Repulsortanks could serve as replacements. To be honest the TIE Mauler just doesn't feel right to me. I don't like it at all.

I would too, but I limited myself from suggesting that for the sake of one thing: I would not want to put ANYONE through the torture of having to animate that thing...just imagine...

I've seen a mod with an AT-TE in it but the walking animation was shit.

Looked like it was just driving.

It was Z3rox's 3.5 mod. The walking animations were really bad but the model was good.
