OK, quick question I'm sure ;-D

In the revive body of a hero's INI, there's the code for Permanently Killed By.

If we put a hero's name in there, what else has to be coded?

I've added a couple of the above in certain heroes to make it more like the book/films and when the certain hero is killed by the hero named, they are no longer recruitable. Which is good. But when they die, they don't "die". They just kinda become a spectre - ie still visible but can't attack and can't be attacked.

What other code is needed to fix this, and where does it need to go?

Cheers me hearties xD

i don't know about Permanently Killed but i know something similiar in weapon.ini all you need is this

DamageScalar = 150% NONE +MordorFellBeast the more the numeber you add ie 2000000% the more

it will damage the fellbeast here is an examble

DamageNugget ; A basic Nugget that just does damage
		Damage			= ARAGORN_DAMAGE
			DamageScalar		  = 50000% NONE +RohanOathbreaker
			DamageScalar		= 30% ANY ENEMIES +STRUCTURE
			DamageScalar		  = 500% NONE +MordorMouthOfSauron
		Radius			= 10
		DelayTime		= 0
		DamageType		= HERO
		DeathType		= NORMAL
	End
End

here aragorn will kill instantly oath breaker but do less damage to structers and so on.

hope this help

of course that doesn't help :xcahik_:

He wants the hero not to respawn when he's dead...
Alas, I do not know how to fix your problem though...

Hey dude, I downloaded that mod and although I saw something about "no respawn" I didn't see where it couldbe implemented, and not only that, I now have a new problem (because of that mod)

I installed the mod and played it, but I didn't like it. And when I tried to play my mod again, it wouldn't load, because of some macro or another from the Elvenstar II mod. So I uninstalled the Elvenstar II mod, and now, when I play mine again, the clickable icons on the Power Tree for both Men and Mordor (I've not tried the others but I bet it's the same for them as well) are corrupt!

They're just squares of white, so you can't see the pictures of which power to select or use. The text is still there, so you can tell what each button is, but the pictures are all gone.

No idea why this has happened. Perhaps I should reinstall the Elvenstar II mod, though I don't see why it'd make much difference. Why would a mod that saved automatically tomy BFME2 folder have any impact on my mod INI for ROTWK?

So....

Where in all the INI files is the data kept for the Power Tree icons? I think the Science file contains information about the Power Trees, but not sure if the icon stuff is in it as well.

I best go check.

If you - or anyone else - can help me on this, I'd be appreciative.

Damn modding, if it's not one thing (wrong) it's a whole lot of things (wrong)!

Hey guys.

How odd!

I've only just had the chance to come online and see this, but I rinstalled ROTWK and it kinda didn't work, so I reinstalled both BFME2 and ROTWK and it's worked perfectly.

Silly bug ;)

Still, it looks great again now, no problems at all and best of all my mod's intact.

Stil no further on the permanently killed by thing though lol.

Maybe for now it's just best I remove the references in that line of code for the 2 or 3 heroes I've added it in.
