I need some help with FA2 YR. It is a 3vs1 multiplayer map. And there is a specefic building. How can I make so when I destroy the building, I win and the match ends?

This works:

CaptureTheFlag=yes

You can only destroy the flag.....

What you want to do isn't possible as the "Destroyed by" event does not accept <Player@X> so its impossible for the game to know how destroyed the building.

cant they make a civilian building, and you defend/attack that, and if it dies you win/loose?

Sort of, you can set it so when a building is destroyed by anybody then all of a certain side are destroyed and thus that side is out of the game. That is fine for one on one, but if you have more than one side, how do you force alliances between the right sides such that the alliance wins against your defender? You can force players to ally prior to the game, but then they could choose a combination of alliance and start points that screws up the plan for the map.

Players doing the right thing is only going to work in close knit groups that know each other and can reach a concensus. For general online play you have to have the game force this kind of thing. This was debated long ago over at c-gen when me mooman and cannis were discussing other possible game modes like assault that relied on specially crafted maps, such as emulating the cut "siege" mode.

well, i run into maps like that all the time over online play (and i just join any game, not a tight knit buddy group)

on all games(RA2 and generals in my case)
the people at the start who host just say
1&2 team 1, 3&4 team 2

or something along those lines, so i dont see the problem, it just means that people who haven't played it befor might pick the wrong place to start, in which case they just quit and make the game again, this time going in the right places...

so its never been a problem for me before...
(and if someone refuses to go in the right place the host just kicks them out. easy)

Thats fine if you can be bothered dealing with the occasional asshat, but its much better (and looks more professional and integrated) if the game just enforces the rules.
