One year after the horrific events of the Second Bloody Valentine war, the Zaft organization has been divided in two. The loyalists led by Lacus Clyne, and the separatists (neoZaft) led by former follower of the late Ex. chairmen Durandal. Atlantic Federation trying to recover after the death of the president of Atlantic Federation at the hands of Durandal, tensions are still high just the littlest upset could restate the madness of war. The masked Atlas De Mask an Ace pilot of Zaft and Commander of the De Mask team, find himself in an ever increasing threat of return of war.
Atlas and the rest of his team joined neoZaft in belief that it’s the best thing to do at the time to insure a more peaceful world although he doesn’t really care about what sorry state of the worlds in, all he wants in the end is to get vengeance on the one who killed his mentor and god father. Now rearmed with the mobile suits they used at the end of the Second Bloody Valentine War.
The De Mask teams along with two other teams were given order to attack a secret OMNI mobile suit production base that hinted to making an assault on the PLANTs soon. It was a stalemate sooner or later one side will be force to attack at the same time the OMNI launched a secret attack on the PLANTs; Atlas calls it in to Zaft that Atlantic Federation is stage a convert attack on the PLANTs, deciding to provide aid; Atlas and the rest of his team broke off along with his red theme Nazca-class the Sovereign. One of the engineers said “Commander will you be launching in the Phantom?”Atlas simple replied “No, it’s still too early to bring that out I’ll be taking the Striker out for a spin.” The engineers replied back “Yes Sir.” Atlas:” Captain Ivan the ship all yours, keep your distance and support us from the rear!” Captain Ivan: “Understood Commander, but shouldn’t we wait for reinforcements to arrive?” Atlas:”It will be too late by then, I have a sixths sense about these things, failing to act will only lead to the death of us.” Captain Ivan: “…Yes commander.”Atlas launches in his Striker Gundam equip with the prototype STRIKE - D.R.A.O.O.N system, that was later incorporated in to a newer version on the zgmf-x666s Legend , Cassette Crescent launches right be hide him in a Zgmf-601R GuAIZ with a backpack D.R.A.O.O.N system similar to that of the Dreadnought Gundam. Then came Vincent Dirge in Redemption (think badass Out Frame Gundam black theme), followed by three GuAIZ units Cassette complained “Aw, how come that Vincent gets to pilot his mobile suit, and I just get this old relic vs. my New Legend!?” Vincent relayed “That’s because my mobile suit doesn’t require a nuclear engine to use it.” Cassette:”Ohh, you jerk!!!” Vincent:”hmph.” Atlas:” now, now let not get carried away now. There’s a battle to be fought Cass and that goes for you too Vincent.” Cassette: “Sorry, Atlas… it won’t happen again.”
Sovereign’s communications officer:” Rader detects two Agamemnon-class battleships, three Nelson-class battleships, and two Drake-Class escort ships. As far as enemy Mobile Suits go there are about fifty at least 24 Windams 12, GAT 105 daggers, 8 GAT-02L2 Dagger Ls, 2 GAT/A-01E2 Buster Daggers, and 4 GAT-01D1 Dual Daggers. Be careful sir” Atlas:”When will Zaft be joining us?” communications officer:” 27 minutes tops sir!” Atlas:” Well, team it looks like a full house then, Zaft Force will be arriving soon, so let’s soften them up a bit what says you? ”
After the battle with the Atlantic Federation attack fleet was finished, the other two assault team that went ahead with the mission was successful in attacking the base only to be wiped out when the base self-destruction to hide any or all evident. After see the explosion Atlas says return “Return to the Sovereign, are job’s done here!” back on the Bridge of the Sovereign. Atlas:”Captain, head to the RV Point.”
Two days later after the attack a Zaft manufacturing mobile suit base was attacked by a secret ops group led by Charles Goodman and a team of extendeds in the Atlantic Federation military core stole a top secret prototype Mobile suit Gundam Named Legacy X along with three others prototypes units Legacy alpha, Legacy Bata, and Legacy Omega .

Sometime after the so called terrorist attack on a secret Atlantic Federation weapon base staged by neoZaft, the Atlantic Federation decided to edit the battle records to look like Zaft attack to use that as just an excuse to start a new war. Zaft tried to establish peace talks to prevent this, but at last they sadly failed, soon afterwords the OMNI declare war on Zaft. On board the Sovereign in the commands quarters Atlas say “Back to a world filled of darkness and chaos, what a sham hm hm hm.” A voice says “Well at lest we won’t be bore for some time, eh Atlas?” Atlas looks up to see Cassette on sitting his desk next to him with her usual playful smile, in the background he saw Vincent Standing against a wall be his cool and calm self. Atlas then says “That what makes it so … interesting.” Then give his charming’ smile.
