what really has to be fixed is the AI. would be great if sb managed to make the AI attacking. the enemy does not really attack, especially if you are in a fortress like e.g. helms deep.

Yes, but unfortunately AI coding is one of the toughest aspects of coding in general.
It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP

Geez... I'd like to help if I could, I really love this mod but I still need practice and stuff. I'm a fast learner so what the heck, maybe in a few months if you still need help I'll contact you. I've already done some stuff inside the SEE mod, added a few units and heroes as well as powers(not very complex but it's a start).

I'm honoured that you spend your first post on T3A to say that :D Thanks for showing interest and welcome to T3A as well. This place is a bit low paced atm, but it used to be crowded with mod loving ppl. Let's hope we get there again soon =)

Indeed it is, and Sûl's done some really remarkable stuff there already. It's just that some of it in the latest private beta wip (4.6) is in the middle of coding. Coding that is unfortionately way beyond my coding skills...

Right... time to bump this :p

As you might now, I've managed to push myself back into Coding since Sûlherokhh left the team. I will never reach his level of coding unfortionately, but I can code the basic stuff, as I once did when SEE started out, and then some I guess... I will take care of all basic coding such as adding units, heroes and structures, setting basic AI, writing strings, doing skins and art, fix balance and all such "ordinary" modding things. However, I really do need help to progress in a steady pace...

Therefore I'm looking for coding help within certain expertise areas. I need the following:

I can only code basic AI, and I need to make sure the new EvilMen faction use the same level of AI that Sûl did for the other factions. So hopefully there's someone out there that's at least half as interested in AI as Sûl was :p

I find this area rather booring, even if the FX in game is awesome. I've spent ages on the new Burning Death system in SEE, and an experienced FX Coder would most likely have done this much easier... :thumbsupsmiley:

I'd also like to find a coder that loves to work on ANIMATIONS as I find those really taunting and "hard coded" ;)


In short: Any free coder that would like to end up in the rolling SEE credits after each Skirmish (cinema style) - please PM me =)
