Split this thread on request by Nertea. Apologies to UK if doing this makes him seem the prime culprit. m@tt

I'll be extremely honest here, it may have looked sarcastic, but it wasn't meant to be. I guess you could say I've been feeling rather tired at home. Sorry if offense was done.

do you think that we need someone to tell us that we should do the update?

No. But if you guys announce a weekly update you should understand that your large fanbase gets disappointed if you do your updates so unsteady.
No need to pick on someone who is just asking.

They are very susceptible to any complains or questions about updates lately which is quite uncalled for, seeing as they seem to have been forgetting to do anything.

you know, its' people like you that makes us quite wanna continue our work... or not..

You do realize that we have a life, besides modding?
That we aren't your 24\7 entertainment?

If we miss a week, or only a day or two, then we're sorry, but most of us are busy these times... We won't give it all up just to give you an update...
Yes, I too se cahiks post maybe looks to cruel, but hey, he didn't start it :thumbsupsmiley:

Yes, because of course they absolutely have to keep to their deadlines every single time. I mean, they don't live for anything else than doing mod updates. And of course you can also ask them to provide cool stuff regularly; I mean, it's for free, afterall.

I wonder when people will finally realise that modding is a hobby, probably even one of many. I'm sure they care a lot about the mod, the updates and keeping to their schedule, but this is just not possible all the time. Most people don't even know modding, don't know that it is mostly a creative task and based on one's own intense interest in it. Sometimes you just don't get around doing all the scheduled stuff, sometimes you really just don't feel like doing anything. That's how it looks like. And I personally think a fanbase shouldn't only shout "yeah, great!", but also accept that progress slows down at some point or that they didn't do anything as promised. Guess why every modder will tell you not to ask for a release date. It just always takes more time than one can anticipate.

I would call you an absolute and utter prick, but that would be far too decent of me.

I thought as much, but I'm afraid this kind of decency isn't really... decent.

Just to clear things up - all I wanted to say is just the team doesn't have to make snide remarks whenever someone's asking about the update. If anyone feels angry or hurt I'd like to apologize. So let's end this here.

1. We've been doing peeks for almost a year, therefore we don't need reminders if we're late. At a guess, we've shown around 80 renders/videos. We've shown a huge amount of our work and therefore there is often nothing readily available for us to use.

2. Also consider that people need to ok the peeks (Mr Nertea wasn't pleased that I posted an unfinished Dunland Camp last month).

3. We're busy. I've just got back after a trip to see uni friends having left first thing Monday so I haven't been able to catch people to ask for stuff.

4. Dain has crap internet atm, so it's difficult to get anything from him.

5. We've been working on our latest internal beta the last month, i.e. focusing on testing and fixing existing stuff.

6. I've been working on 2 very large maps recently (1 is 6P the other 8P) which are coming together but have a lot left to go still just because they're so big.

there is no real point ever demanding sneeky peeks because its a privilege to get them and see what they have been working on, also these guys dont get paid for this shizz, so u carnt demand anything to be onest
tis the wisdom of the rural budda
