Hero construct a building

I am currently trying to get a hero to be able to construct a battle tower. Is this possible?

I have so far added the proper command button to the hero.

It shows up greyed out and over top of the hero when I select. As if the hero was a unit constructing building.

I added "InPalantir = yes" to the commandbuttons's code. This added the button to his palatir, but did not remove the button that displays over top the hero when I select him. How do I disable this button?

And what is missing for the hero to be able to actually construct the building. Is there are behavior he needs before he can construct. I looked through the porter.ini and could not distinguish any behavior that was to enable the ability to construct a building.

I am exercising futility, or is this possible?

EDIT: I have managed to get the button to show up on the right side of the screen like it does with a porter by adding the lines "PORTER DOZER" to the command "KindOf" in engineering parameters of the hero.

Note though that this crashes the game if an AI is in control of the hero/porter hybrid.


But the hero is still not able to construct the buildings, the button is still greyed out.

For DOZER_CONSTRUCT CommandButtons, I think 'Radial' makes the button shown in the right-edge of the screen, and 'InPalantir' makes the button shown in the, well, Palantir.

The trick should be addressed in the AI module, i.e.
Behavior = DozerAIUpdate ModuleTag_10
		AILuaEventsList					= EvilPorterFunctions
 		RepairHealthPercentPerSecond	= 2%   ; % of max health to repair each second
 		BoredTime						= 5000 ; in milliseconds
 		BoredRange						= 120  ; when bored, we look this far away to do something
 		AutoAcquireEnemiesWhenIdle		= No   ; no mine-disarming in the design at the moment
		SpecialContactPoints			= Repair
 	End

try to replace the 'AIUpdateInterface' with the 'DozerAIUpdate.'
It seems like you're writing a letter!!! Do you need help?

oK so adding the evilporterfunctions was a step in the right direction.

The button is no longer greyed out.

But once I click it the building does not come up to place. I just get the regular movement cursor. So I can click the button but not place the building.

About not posting codes. What codes would you like me to put down? The ones I haven't modified, or the ones I haven't modified. LOL there is no code to put because I do not know where the next step is.

Says nothing about fake in the commandbutton.

I am kinda lost here. Does anyone else have any insight to this problem?
